The Remore's torpedo launcher fires 1/2 as frequently as its phaser and only fires in a forward arc. I'd say that's a significant decrease in effectiveness compared to almost all other Federation vessels . It's all technobabble opinion though - if Optec views it as less effective, it is, isn't it? Afterall, you don't know what the Remore would be like if it was had an effective cache of torpedoes

its certainly not its best weapon, but the tooltip saying not enough to use effectively in battle, that makes me think that they dont bother firing them at all since they arent gonna be worth it.

i agree in retrospect the tooltip doesnt exclude the torpedo from use, im just going by the impression i got from it.

If you removed the conventional launchers from the ship in early ranks, it would still use photons in the form of Precise Volley since that is a trio of Photon torpedoes. That would also suit the tooltips claim that it 'can't use the effectivly, but can hit weak points'.

Would be nice to have the tooltip give a fact instead of an opinion (I consider even a forward-only barely-firing torp launcher effective if it is part of a fleet and/or facing large ships), also be nice if it weren't quite as vague.

The base Mayson platform has a typo in the chassis selection; it uses the same replacement file as the Risner one and doesn't have the avatar bonus in the tooltip like the other Turrets.

ACS Torpedoes are a powerfull modification of regular Quantum Torpedoes

Powerful, it should say.

The engineering decks of this vessel got extended

Wouldn't it sound better as have been extended? Wasn't this one brought up before?

well the tooltips also call the Phalanx and other random ships battleships.

I think what's needed is a actual standard for whats what, not based on 'balance' but what it actualy is.


Tyler is 100% right too, the Ambassador was never a battleship, the Khittomer plus the Romulans withdrawing meant that there was next to no need for one (minus things like the skirmishes with the Cardies much later on) for a time in the federations way of thinking.

Actualy, even the Galaxy wasnt ever really a battleship, it's at most a heavy battlecruiser or light dreadnought.

i think their english is good enough, their mistakes are understandable, i've seen english people do worse.

The classification of ambas battleship vs heavy cruiser was argued in another thread, dont bring the argument here. Both sides had valid points and in the end it falls down to opinion. And it's the devs opinions that matter.

Tokra, we all know your opinions on fed battleships and the phalanx in particular. No need to put sly remarks in your posts. The phalanx is a battleship.
