Remore's can take on 16 defiants In your opinion.. so this means that feds have the only ship that can take on a fleet of defiants... That just proves our point that the ballence is off.

Take Remores, for example. 16 fully upgraded Remores can take on 16 defiants head to head anyday. As to who would win, that's anyone's guess.
makes no sence what-so-ever. but in any case, 16 remoores are no match for 16 defiants. the critical shot nulifies weapons for seven seconds and its pulsephasers just chew through ships like a hot knife through butter.

Actually, I whooped up on massed defiants with massed Cahlaers yesterday. Or mabye Eresis. Whichever one has the kick-*** pulse disruptors.

toe for toe, as long as the defiants stay still, and the dominon artillary doesn't get noticed I am pretty sure 16 of them would win :shifty: :P

lol, sorry to put the skids to your plan but youd never be able to build more than 3 at any 1 time, plus when you shoot, the AI automatically knows where you are. because quite simply it has come under attack. To the computer thats the same as just firing a phaser or topedo at it, lol

with what? this is 1 class against another :P the arty ship has no other weaponto keep the defiants at bay, so in short the arty ships would get raped.

never said the defiants had to be in a fire fight :P if you could keep those A.D.D. fighter/battleships still for about oh... 5 seconds, I am sure you would see the awesome power :P

no I was being sarcastic ^_^ :mellow: I know pretty well that there isn' t much that defeats the defiant in a one or a 16 on 16 for that matter. Tried just about everything at home with a fried to wipe them out. I had just noticed that they (a previous poster) were throwing out an artillary ship (that blue beam kligon ship) as teh ultimate grouper, the point is if they are ignored and not shot at sure. but like you mentioned you get in close and they have nothing. hence the defiant has to sit still and can't fire.

yeah i know and 16 defiants are just fearsome to look at let alone 2 or 3 groups of them

what you can't choose the federation to fight against hte federation :lol: :P but yes the defiant is unbalanced I think just from the test it is pretty clear, battleship with the advantages of a destroyer, should be destroyer with advantages of cruiser ;)

Very true. Critical shot needs to have a greater miss chance, too.

Sure you can choose the feds to fight the feds... but... Than it has nothing to do with ballence. Its just one race being too over powered.
