On A2 files it called the Ablative Armor AVM.  Sorry if I confused.  I'm really not sure why it was called that. :innocent:

personally, i think keepign the midana 2 mixed tewch is a very bad idea, make the uss dauntless mixed tech or somthing else, miranda 2 is just to much of the essence of feds to only be mixed tech

It's not exactly the essence of the Federation, it's a FO design and the whole point behind it was that it is going to be a mixed-tech ship. Although I would like to see warp in mirandas alongside the excelsiors, but they would be too weak to be of any use.

Nova, Nova, Nova please!

For some reason I always LOVED that ship. Beautiful design.
It's my 2nd favorite after the good ole Excelsior.

hmm, how about a remake of the iwo jima from stock armada? they could turn it in to our hospital/ repair and towing ship, with a tractor beam, and the ship repair special ability, and hmm, we could add a third ability(cus itd be support) like where it takes all the hits for a ship its protecting, and extends its sheilds or somthing, thatd be cool

or how about a........... constelation, mk2

or constitution, mk2

hmm lots of posibilitys, personally, id like to see and saber mk2, or intrepid mk2, thyere little old, kinda

or a new orleans class would be nice,

ACTUALLY! i just thought of this, and if they dont do this now, they should in the future, steamrunner, mk2, or just a new class liek steamrunner, that could be cool,

Iwo Jima? There's one that interests me. I always like that one (I prefer it as a Hazard Team transport, but Repair Ship/tug works).

An Iwo Jima like this one: http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Iwo_Jima_Refit;12430?

Unfortunatly, it doesn't have Hardpoints but this has them; http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Iwo_Jima_hardpoint_addon;89546.

The Feds are already almost TOO powerful. They have a strong, early mid, and late game, The Federation has gotten a lot of attention, and they already have a very unique feel to them.

They are not strong in late game. They can only build less but very expensive ships who are quickly destroyed there. They lack ships who are worth their money in late game.  Feds successes are always based on mid game domination.

That a sentence, that would suit you, just as good.

SOVIE IS GREAT UP AGAINST SMALL SHIPS!!!!! :fish:

yes, if the small ships are on green and wait half and hour to be destroyed. Sovereign is not usefull at all, especially not for its high cost. Any Excelsior cost less and does more.

this is just how the feds r. late-game strength depends on how well u played so far with the best ships in the game. if u don't like it play some other race. if u don't get it ... well, too bad.

i think u said it b4 & i answered but i will repeat myself like u do. i find Sovereign useful. if u don't ... it's not Sovereign fault.

i think i will follow dominus way. could u meet me sometime online for a game ares?

My only problem with the Iwo Jima is that canonoically it's actually a vulcan shuttle with separable warp nacelles, like Obi-wans Jedi Starfighter in Episode II (Damn I knew G Lucas stole that idea off something)

Maybe if they implemented that into gameplay...I dunno seems a bit of a liability in a warzone. And the vulcans wouldn't just "give" starfleet their ships, so I think it would seem odd to see it retextured in Starfleet colours like we saw in stock, which has always bothered me.

*Sigh* Can you back up your claims ARES online please? I've played the Feds a decent amount recently (and been beaten/ beaten them too), and I think they are an extremely well rounded race.... as compared to, for example, the Romulans (who have two fantastic early game units.... which are never really traded out for their good (but expensive) late game units  :( ).

As for this:
"I think you just can't stand hearing ideas that don't follow your line of reasoning: you have to learn to move on when both the Team and the forum population in general disagree.

That a sentence, that would suit you, just as good."

I'm sorry, I guess you haven't been paying close attention. How many times has the FO Team reprimanded or otherwise stated that "We are happy with the Federation" ...and how many people on this forum have agreed? That's what I thought. I'm fine with hearing different ideas, but not when they are based on practically no online experience (or at least based on losing when playing only as the Federation). I'd kindly like you to ask you to retract your statement.

Similar, not the same. There is a difference. Same shape, but bigger with different parts.

Saying that it is just a retextured Vulcan ship because of the shape is like saying the Galaxy is a ripped-off Ambassador becase they have the same basic shape.
