The average DPS (damage per second) of Federation Torpedoes wont be changed.

Not sure about the redo, in one of the next patches, not yet decided

hm its not yet planed, i will see how i can balance something like that in for the redo, perhaps a reduced accuracy or something. i sometimes wonder how the enterprise manages to miss objects of the size of a Borg Sphere!

haha yeah, but really optec, i do think the feds need a new class or somthing thats very new and high tech, that could have that high tech torpedo, it could be expansive, and unlimited production, but it would be very powerful, because honeslty, i think the feds need that, they may be a defensive race, but there not weak, and they use force when needed

honestly, i don't think the Federation needs that as thats not the playstyle we want to achieve for the Federation. But we already discussed that in another topic.
The Sovereign will probably change a bit in the redo, but specific changes are not yet decided

so then is the fed supposed to be just a defensive race? cus i dont think that makes alot of sense, in my eye, i have always seen fed as concenred with defense and safety, but high tech, with very high tech powerful weapons, admitidly, not all there ships are going to be high attack, but they do have some designed for that specificly, also, ive always seen the feds high tech, and usage go hand in had by there refiting and upgrade and customization, we have seen feds customize there ships for special missions many times, and we have seen many variations with, along with countless upgrades and refits, and i dont feel that is reflected enough, as that is one of the most defining feature of feds.  refit and upgrade i think is probably the most important thing to change about feds, to give them the federation feel, and uniqness they deserve.

I don't think ray and friends will stop until the Feds become the OP race.  Better just give them what they want so we can stop seeing it on the forums.  Don't worry....we'll  adapt

dont know what op is, but it seems like you think i want them to be a god race, i dont, i want them to get some attention because i think they need it, then i want the kligons and ominion to get attention, cus they need it to, i dotn see what you complaining about my posts

The Feds are already almost TOO powerful. They have a strong, early mid, and late game, a lot of their support powers are much better than the other races and teching up is quite easy with them (compare this to the Klingons, for instance). Even micromanaging is kept down nicely with them due to huge area of effect special weapons. There is only one person clammering for this change over and over again, and I hope I speak for the silent masses when I say: cut it out already. Talk about the changes that other races need: like the Dominion, who nobody seems to play! (Or the Klingons which are much too much of a spam faction at the moment). The Federation plays wonderfully and yes, they were always the defensive race and the only way to keep with their character in an RTS (where you can't just put a box that says "the Federation defends its own space, but has powerful weapons to help it") is to make their defense strong, and their offense week (even in the Dominion War as they didn't go on the offensive in the manner that the Klingons or Romulans did). If you made their offense strong, how the heck would you still be able to say "see, the Federation relies on defending their territory"? They'd become an offensive race designed for quick strikes with little chance to retreat *cough Klingons*.... or they'd become the Borg. The Federation has gotten a lot of attention, and they already have a very unique feel to them.

Ray, it's not as simple or black/white as what you're suggesting. It's not about strength or weakness. It's just a DIFFERENT STYLE OF PLAY. If you make every race equal, then it would be... Stock A2.

If you're not doing so well playing the Feds, try playing them differently. You can't just rely on the same tactics for everyone any more.

i dont want every race to be equal! that my whole fricking point! i want them to be different!

the feds have always been the one  race, that we have always seen refitting ships! and upgrading ships to, different variations for different missions, excelsior refits, mranda and nebula refits, different galaxys class versions, using old ships for cargo, and mining,

AND OKAY GUYS, im going to admit it here, im going to make a compromise, and im going to admit, that yes, i am wrong, dont bash me for it, you dont need to celebrate, none of that,

okay here it is: sovy dosent need stats increase, neither does defiant

there it is okay? you guys have shown me that they are more eqaul, and altough i still have questions about the ship cost, it does seem like they are equal


howeverm i do strongly belive, as i have been saying for a while, that we need a refit system for feds, or upgrade system, this is very much so fed, i was a bit perplexed when the roms got a extensive refit system, and then i was like, okay, thats just for a specialized puropose after there made, BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT

this is about upgrading them after there made, the miranda 2, and nebula(nebula depends on how its incorpetated, do deserve a special pod system, and warp in ships, and other ships need special refits, and also upgrades, of course they will cost moore, but this is very much so fed, one thing that would be a nice inclusion, is mirranda 2 in the game, no special cross species satation required, i belive that because of its high defense, the miranda 2 is the poster ship for the very icon of the fed, a powerful ship, with high defense, that if very good at defending, and outlasting foes in battle, a redesign of a former ship, it is EXACTLY what the fed does

now as to the, feds are way too powerful, no, there not, again hand that to borg and rommies, do klings and dominipn need looking at? yes they do, and i strongly support any effort for that, but theres not alot of posts on that, i have posted some, and am planning to post more,

*Sigh* Play me online Ray, for the nth time, and I WILL prove to you that the Borg and Romulans are not all powerful. In fact, the Federation can take out the Romulans quite quickly. Also, no one said that "feds are way too powerful", I said that they are almost too powerful.

So do so, and get online so that your ideas make sense. I have not seen anyone recently play as the Dominion, but if someone would enlighten me as to who plays on a regular basis, we can actually get some ideas flowing (Baron I hear plays, but no time because of University  ).

The same logic that you use to propose that you rip the refit system from the Romulans (which has been there from the get go... what is that, 5 years?) and give it to the Federation can be used to propse that the Borg or the Klingons are more deserving of the refit system than are the Federation. The Federation just BUILDS a new ship for crying out loud: the Klingons however have been using the same ships for hundreds of years, but the only way they have been kept up is by REFITTING. I won't even bother explaining why the Borg should have a refit system 

Each race already has its defining characteristic, and for the Federation, it isn't and should not be the refit system.
