I considered it, but IMO it's just too big.

Too big? The Ambassador is only a medium ship, in terms of size. Certainly smaller than 'the first true star ship', the Galaxy.

I like ships that are small and are primarily combat orientated. So my ship of choice would be either the Saber or Defiant. I prefer the defiant because of the pulse canons and ablative armor.

Wait a miniute i didnt know that was an option hmm i will either go with an Aurora-class battleship, a 304 battleship, replicator cruiser, or wait maybe an o'neal class starship i cant decide.

How about an Ori mothership? Or the ZPM-powered Hive Ship... :shifty:

Personally, I'd quite like an Asgard ship so I could just descend over planets and beam everything away like Thor did on Cimmeria. I often wonder what he did with those Jaffa, tbh....

How about the Death Star, with a reinforced grate over its exhaust port.

he probably didnt rematerialise them, like in star trek, beam it into energy, then just beam the energy out into space without putting it back together again.

oh and i would wager money on an atlantis type city ship being most powerful, assuming all ships are at peak performance, that would mean 3 ZPMs and a full complement of drone weapons, no hull damage and someone with a high CIA running it. maybe an ancient.

i always found that term (CIA) funny, it meant chair interface aptitude, basically how good you were at using your brain to control stuff using the chair. i think they added it in the last episode as a joke.

How do you think the Asgard build their ships?
Jaffa slave labor is the best slave labor.
I guess for a stargate ship i'd choose an ancient ship...attached to the completed (with some f**king ray and particle shields over exhaust port and central core) Death Star II and everything covered in neutronium ablative armor.  All crew still copies of Data though. Would give those Borg Cubes quite a scare.

If we're talking about non-Trek ships; I'd pick an Asgard O'Neill Class (the Sovereign of the Asgard fleet) or a Lantean Aurora Class (the Hippaforalkus varient).

how can any of those compare to a flying city though?

the city has the power with 3 zpms, the shields which have seen to be super strong, the weapons with so many many drones, the speed of hyperdrive and wormhole drive, and the comfort of all the features of a city. what more could you want?

It is also the biggest target possible (bigger than a Cube, I think) and kinda tough to hide when things go bad...
