I didnt say it couldn't be done... I am saying it doesn't seem like it was chosen to be done... for whatever reason The Feds chose probably to proceed with the Galaxy project and other more advanced starships rather than extending the life of the Ambassador's in the fleet.

The only DS9 Ambassador was the Yamaguchi, from a Wolf 359 flashback. TNG only had it in 4 episodes (though the Horatio wasn't seen on screen). ENT had an image of an Ambassador saucer in Daniels temporal database.

Aside from those, there have been no other canon Ambassadors.

assumeing starfleet built more than one ambassador, and they did , instead of building only 6 galaxy classes which in my opnion are  not made for combat , the ambassador was built on a more rugged deasign, in generations the flag ship of the federation was out gunned by a 20 year old bird of prey. in yesterday's enterprise the enterprise c was engageing 3 romulan warbirds.

In Generations, the Enterprise wasn't outgunned, it was completely unshielded. No matter how old or out of date a ship is, the weapons still do considerable damage to an undefended ships hull with few shots.

An NX Class would do the same if they could bypass the shields like that.

dont get me wrong i like the galay class ,  i just think if star fleet was going to up grade miranda class ships and excelsior ships, why not use that to build a better ship all the way around.

I understand your admiration for the Ambassador class. But I don't think you will find much support or evidence for an Ambassador out-classing a Galaxy... in any circumstance except maybe colliding with it. Especially not from Tyler

Okay my dream ship is out dated yes, so i move on to the next ship i think should get more attention the "NEBULA" class.

I'd choose a Defiant...Probably something like:
Ship class: Defiant
Name: USS Valkyrie
Registry: NCC 464564

You mean the Enterprise D was engaging 3 klingon K'Vort class Birds of prey while C was going back to her time.
Enterprise C on her part was completely outgunned against 4 romulan warbirds in her time.

And Generations was messed up anyways... in lots of episodes problems like weapons go through shields (they hadn't been deactivated) were solved by remodulating the frequencies. They didn't even try in the movie because the writers forced the plot in the direction of getting a reason to make a new Enterprise for the next movie. And they didn't really fire back. If I was in command then I would at least have ordered a full barrage of torps and more than just one shot with the phasers. The Odyssey lasted much longer against three Jem'Hadar vessels which fired through her shields, too.

In Generations the Duras sisters hacked Geordi's visor and used it to get the shield frequencies for the Enterprise. They then tuned the torpedo to the same frequency so that there would be no distinction between the energy of the shields and the energy of the torpedo; they would be, for all intents and purposes, the same thing. This is the same method used to pass shuttles through shields. That torpedo strike was also enough to start a near immediate warp core breach which means several key systems were damaged, perhaps including antimatter containment failure. Had they tried to draw power for phasers or torpedoes they could have blown up the ship then and there. Torpedoes would be especially risky since they would involve the movement of antimatter.

As for the Odyssey, yes, it may have been under assault from three Jem'Hadar vessels but keep in mind that that ship was probably outfitted for war, it knew the attack was comming, and was not a sitting duck. Think of it this way, the Enterprise was sniped while the Odyssey was just being shot at.

well iam curious the cardassian keldon class, is that in the same line with the galaxy class, i know its better than the galor class ship.

The Keldon is still a prettier cruddy ship: basically just an upgraded Galor... and since a Galor was essentially on par with maybe an Excelsior, well, the Keldon would still be substantially inferior to a Galaxy. Furthermore, Cardassian technology is quite inferior to Federation technology, even with Romulan Tal'Shiar help.
