I would love to see a graphic of some kind showing in a cool way how this thread has changed topics.

This is basically how I treat that one guy who's crazy about the Ambassador class (I see his name and I don't bother reading the post, tho I did enjoy reading posts where people on the forums futilely tried to explain that the Ambassador class does not need a buff.)
I'm not suggesting ignoring everything he says, I just do that with the Ambassador guy cause I've never seen a post of his that was rational and not about the Ambassador.

Its before my time, but it isn't really my favorite because of the graphics, the Remastered series is good, but it still ranks last on my list so I didn't put it, but I do like Captain James T. Kirk and Spock along with their entire crew and the USS Enterprise NCC 1701. If I didn't I wouldn't be reading William Shatner's Star Trek novels again.

I have also watched all episodes of TNG, Voyager, and Enterprise, and when it comes to TNG, I can't find any proof to what you're saying. Captain Picard has relied on her Empathic and Impathic abilities alot.

That isn't a weak source, since its the Official Star Trek Website, they have only changed how the page is setup, but it is still the official site nad it has been out far longer than Memory Alpha and Memry Beta. The only difference is the site was redid and is a new Beta-Version, all the information is the same that was on the original Star Trek Official Website and that's because the information on other pages matches information that I saved back in 2007 well starting my Star Trek Novel.

That site is well known to contradict canon on many pages and make up its own stuff. Troi herself even said she cannot read thoughts, only sense emotions. Official doesn't alway mean it's a strong source.

Every wondered why she only says that she can 'sense hostility/joy' rather than 'they will attack' or 'they said they are happy'?

And what's this about Impath? What's a New York based cancer corporation got to do with this?

I lol'd so hard when I saw 9-11 in there, I had forgotten reading the posts about it. I was actually hoping for something like a graph where the x axis is number of posts and the y axis is relation to topic and the z axis is relation to star trek. Or a branching tree type of thing. Straight progressions are just so boring to look at once I'm done laughing at the accidental satire of how Americans won't stop mentioning 9-11 everywhere, no matter how unrelated to the topic.

well your 3D graph would be simple, as x goes up, y and z would fall, and fall fast, as usually happens.

Well, sometimes z only falls at a slow rate, but It does inevitably fall.

i think going off topic here was not so bad, as the original point of the thread had been accomplished, we all saw the new design, and put in our comments on it. after that its just a place to talk really.
