Ronan's gun will never run out of energy.  And it doubles as a USB port for simple electronics.  I can't count how many times Ronan has used his gun to open doors by shooting the locking mechanism.  And you have to spin it as you pull it out of the holster, because then you're even cooler than you already were. its funny how ronan never had to reload (you seem him tinkering with the ammo/power cell a couple times) but the one time sheppard gets a similar gun on a traveller ship his runs out of batteries fast. then again the larin (the hot alien) shot it several times at a solid lantean door to blast a smoking hole in it. maybe she was shooting longer than it appeared.

I'm pretty sure there are a couple times where we do actually see him reload, but I think you have to really be watching otherwise you miss it. I always liked how even when he appears to have lost the gun, he has it next episode.

:crybaby: I want more Atlantis. Boo Stargate Universe >:( >:( with your nothing-but-angst attitude like the new Battlestar  :pinch: Yes, for those who haven't seen the new Stargate Universe series it now has a similar feel to the remake of Galactica (I think it's done by the same people, but that's just a guess); it's very angsty and high strung and political and scheming and not very sci-fi-ish or at all in the spirit of Stargate. Unless you like that kind of show, you probably shouldn't bother watching it.

Anyway, that's my rant.

It seems rather popular to make a new series or movie that isn't like the original ones...

Yes... :(  >:(

Let's go find who ever started that trend and hunt them like Hirogen.  :guns: :dead:
They're disappointing loyal fans.

i like universe for its realism. its more believable. eli isnt smart enough to solve the day's problems with technobabble, and they dont have enough bullets to shoot their problems. and there's no strong man whose name begins with T to punch their problems.

i can put up with all the angst and still like the show. i love the way young beats his men

o'neill should have tried slapping daniel when he was being annoying.

Yep, everyone wants it.  That's Stargate philosophy I think:  It all comes back to Ronan's gun.  Let Freud ponder on that one. ;)

why didnt sheppard ask larin for a few, he had scientists repair her ship and he helped her get it through a battle in one piece.

Because he was distracted by his...other gun going off.  I'm glad they have clairol and black leather in the Pegasus galaxy.

Hmm...that never even occurred to me San Francisco, Starfleet...hmm  ???. For that to happen though, it would require making the whole Stargate program public, and I doubt that will happen any time soon. I doubt the IOA would let it happen, or maybe they would, hard to tell with them. But Starfleet didn't exist prior to WWIII which seems like the prerequisite for world peace these days. Also, if Atlantis were the foundation of Starfleet, Earth wouldn't have needed help developing ships, they could have just used the information in the Ancient database.

Anyways, it does make for some nice symbolism/connections.

Well that brings up the question of wither Atlantis went back to Pegasus galaxy. It was kind of implied that did unless im mistaken.
