That's a barbed issue, Tyler.

Many would see Section 31 as undermining all that the Federation has worked for.  In using the very things the Federation has forsworn, 'for the Federation' they cause them to be cast in the light of hypocrites. 

Someone who has encountered Section 31 will no longer view the Federation as honest, fair, and peaceful, but as manipulative, decietful, backstabbing, and unconcerned with it's own laws, much less anybody else's laws, rights, or even life.

They might, providing they ignore 31's declaration that they have nothing to do with the Federation that doesn't even know they exist.

Either way, I'm not trying to pass my opinion as 'correct'.

Yeah, I think that Section 31 is not really for the Federation. I like to call them the Feds communists and Nazis. They have a good idea of making everything wonderful for the Federation, but mass murder, genocide, etc, etc, is pretty against the Federation. Can you name any of the other special weapons for Section 31?

Without them, the Federation wouldn't have won...

A good special for them would be something like the 'Crew-killer' weapon, from stock (Bioweapon).

Doesn't make what they do okay, however.  'The ends justifies the means' is a scorned phrase for a reason.

This mod should probably be considered by Doc and the others as a template for 3rd avatars in the game.  And obviously, give credit where credit is due.

*edit* Also, while Son'a (or however its spelled) is an interesting ally for Dominion, I think Gul Dukat or some other cardie with one or two ships, like the Breen.

I like Section 31 ships, but they are slightly creepy. Are they really for the good of the Federation...they are defiantly not complying to the rules of Federation diplomacy. I like how their ships are the "dark side" type thing. I also have some questions about the others. Toral's fighters. Can they be targeted, and what kind of weaponry would they have. I thought that they would have some little weak phasers and disrupters just to balance it out. Sela has enormous forward firepower, but what would the specs be for the Shadow wing battleship? (I think its actually a Trade Federation battleship the Rommies have stolen from a galaxy far, far, away  ) And, I really like the diversity avatar.  The Son'a are cool, but what would their ships be armed with? Isolytics still, or something else?   

- Toral's fighters can be targeted and have a simple disruptor canon.
- Sela's ship is custom so the specs don't exactly match up with the standard Shadow Wing.
- The Son'a ships are armed with both isolytic beams and pulses.
- Hopefully the next patch comes out soon.... I really want to finish this mod.

I dunno about you... but i think that the best ships would be...

- Constellation Class S31 refit
- Renegade Class (Nobody take my idea, I'm going to release it soon...)
- late-24th to early-25th century refit of the Kelvin type (I love that ship)
- Nautiluss Class
- Soulwolf Class
- or some other futuristic ship

You want S31 ships in? Set the game to randomly hijack a Federation ship and set it to 'NPC' status, attacking ships that are not under your control.

Downloading 3.1 Right now...

I'm going to have to figure out how all the changes work so it might be awhile before I can translate everything from 3.0.7 to 3.1

I like them all but the Klingon's pic, it looks really blurry and distorted compared to the other ones, but other than that it looks awesome.
