Oh yeah man, sure. Post a pic of the ships and their hpmaps. it sounds like the hps are messed up. :thumbsup:

Under the post typing box is a browse button for attaching a file to your post. if you add an image the forum will automatically deal with it.

Well, I would venture a guess that you need h_scene_root as your super parent node(the very first one with h_root attached to it)

You also need to make sure root is centered, and that you have a mesh node for every one of your mesh groups.

If you have those checked, you might check the material settings. check those others first though.

I'd have to redo all the hardpoints, but I think it can be done. I combined parts of the ship for ease of texturing and identifying, would this be a problem for mesh nodes?

Also, can anyone can help me make some textures for my ships? I am always borrowing textures for my ships, and I think it's time for something new. I made some textures for one of my fighters, but that was years ago, and I remember the process I used, but it wont fit, or translate well, for a full sized starship. If anyone wants to take a crack at it, I'd like to see how other people make great textures.

Finally, does anyone know where to go to pitch some ideas for the game?

You might be able to add the h_scene_root and then make root its child node, but yes, it might be easier to redo them. Also, the combining is fine as long as you have one mesh node for each meshgroup. you will also need a texture for each meshgroup.

I can help. I have made textures for ships before, but I can't promise anything spectacular. 8) Attached are images of some of my ships with my own textures if you want an example.

MSFC might be a good place. I have a feeling they would love your ideas so far, and they are huge about Artists rights. 8)

I meant ideas for fleet ops. I've been noting how after a while, that sound that you selected for your super torpedoes now sounds horrible because there's no variety, no pitch change, no speed jump, nothing. I was thinking of proposing a small code for multiple firing and impact sounds.

Also, I cant view the images on the site. Something about Insufficient privileges. I can provide a look of what the ship looks like now, though you'll have to excuse the mess. It's got several textures that I've been using for years from another site.

Ah ok, so it is similar to Federation ships. Is it a kitbash or did you model it yourself?

Oh and MSFC is a good place for ideas on any type of mod, FO or not. :)
