I've been working on a personal mod for a while, and its reached the point where my ideas have run dry. I could use suggestions on what I can do, and maybe some help with some sections too.
If anyone wants to help, I'm open to ideas.

Well, I am always glad to help with mods, but you will have to give us a little more to go on. What do you have so far? what is your goal? Is there anything crazy you ever wanted to try? Maybe it is possible?

I'm not sure about revealing anything. It's all material for my books, which I'm trying to write. I just don't want anything copied or stolen from me...you understand, right? I can write it all down, but I just don't like the idea of someone taking everything that I have carefully sculpted, and am still sculpting.
I'm just a little reluctant, that's all.

So let me get this straight, you want people to give you ideas to add to your story/mod, but you won't say anything about what you already have.
OK, lemme try: space vegas, with hookers, and blackjack, and borg waiters, the final mission is to pull a daring heist of a space casino vault with 10 old fat Klingon captains. Call it... Qo'noS Eleven.
Hopefully that fits with what you already have, if not it's because nobody has any idea what you already have.

Hmmm....
maybe Quark and Garak co-own the casino?

So awesome. I think two morally questionable people working together would be brilliant. They never say what they mean, and would always be scheming.
Garak would be in charge of security, so pulling the heist under his nose would be a challenge.

Whoops, that got offtopic in a hurry. Let's put this one back on topic. sorry op.

Right sorry
I grabbed a tangent and ran with it.

How could the author ever reach the state of mystery within such a highly complex relation? Since Destroyer even lacks the creativity to come with own ideas I doubt he would be able to come up with a decent plot...heck even us who watched the show did not fully understand on which side or not those personalities were acting. It doesn't make writing easier, it makes it more complicated than anything else. Beware of the plot that hurts more with each sentence you read.
Destroyer, if you would like to take on the thread at a point of one episode (for example the fate of Kai Opaka) I recommend to watch the whole episodes again and let the open ends inspire your emptiness.
What about a topic off Star Trek? Create a new universe and start at the charm of Men in Black I.

I could imagine to experience a new adventure with a group of Maquis that are sick of the ongoing fight within the Federation and seek to create a new home at a place. How they know if this remote and unknown world? Up to you to develop. How they reach there? Up to you? They prepare the departure and venture the way of no return. While doing so, they explore something obscure that, during time and more findings, turns out to change the galaxy forever.
And please, no Star Wars vs Star Trek or mirror universe bullshit. I've had enough and it bores the shit out of me.

TBH, you have to give a little to get a little. As far as I know, few of us modders write anything other than install instructions, and nobody is entirely original. Heck there isn't even a running fan fic or RPG on this forum. If you cant trust us to even tell up what your mod is about, then I highly doubt you will get any serious ideas.
That being said, all you have to do is tell us what it is about, you don't have to go into detail.

Sorry it took so long for me to post. While your ideas sound hilarious
, It isn't what I had in mind.
I'll tell a little of what I have.
Everything is based off books I'm trying to write. Please don't steal any material here >:( Its all copy-written by me.
Essentially, I'm setting the game in a new universe. Materials and stuff are similar, but different then in Star trek.
Warp travel is essentially passing into a different dimension,
shown as a brightly lit, multicolored tunnel. Ships require
an aerodynamic hull to pass through currents in the dimension.
Ships move faster here, as the speed of light is greater here.
In the books, after a ship drops out of warp, it is black as night,
with light catching up a moment after. (Not necessary in game)
There are three factions:
The Terran Coalition Force,or TCF, essentially, the human race with Halo-like technology. Ships are similar in
design to Halo Human ships, but the ships can be anywhere from new to ancient, up to three centuries old.
The main charecter of my books is, at one point, a member of this group.
The Destroyers, an advanced race that started on Earth in 1922. They are Human, however, they look like children and teenagers (and act like it too). They have an unlimited lifespan because their ships and stations are filled with a radiation much like the Metaphasic Radiation around Baku, but its more potent, and keeps them looking young years after they leave it. While teens can have children naturally, most of the Destroyers are made in incubation pods, and raised by married couples who donate their DNA for the procedure. Their weapons are powerful, with their largest having more power then two Death Stars, though it takes a while to charge.
In the books, my main charecter creates this group, and from there, I will be doing some slight rewrites of our history. (Hitler gets his head chopped off. >:D )
The Hunters, a race of organic creatures that use other races to reproduce, much like the creatures from Aliens.
There are several species of them, similar to the Covenant. They also are capable of infecting humans with
secretions produced by one of the races. The effect on Humans can be, but are not limited to, sudden sprouting of
super hard scales, split personalities (usually evil).
Ships captured by the Hunters or infected Humans are also known to sprout scales, as well as an organic matter that
replaces damaged sections.
The main weapons of the universe are lasers, missiles, guns, and torpedoes. The TCF and Destroyers use all of
these, but the Hunters use torpedoes and a new weapon, a bio-disruptor. The weapons vary from race to race:
The TCF use lasers like todays cutting lasers, but much larger and more powerful. Their torpedoes are like those used on submarines. Guns and missiles are the same as todays miniguns and the Halo Archer Missiles. They also have MAC Gun-like weapons in their ships
The Destroyers use a material called Harus in their lasers. The Harus slows the light from an ordinary laser beam, creating a powerful particle beam. Torpedoes are similar to Star Fleet Photon Torpedoes, but there are several types of these weapons: Fusion, Anti-Matter, and Quantum Singularity. (Similar to their power cores.) Guns come in a wide variety, with plasma weapons falling into the same category. The Destroyers have only two missile types, with one preferred over the other. This missile is capable of piercing shields without detonating.
Hunters prefer organic weapons, produced by their ships. A Bio-Disruptor is simply a crude pulse weapon, and is used more, but their best weapon are their torpedoes. these weapons contain an acid sack, which pops upon impact. The acid is capable of melting through the invincible Neutronium.
The closest each race appears to be, if you look at other sci-fi things, is the Destroyers as the Federation, the
TCF as the Humans from Halo, and the Hunters are a combination of the Covenant, the Flood, the Borg, and
the creatures from Aliens.
The leader of the Destroyers is an augment named Tod. I can provide a description if you like. He has 5 children, 4 daughters and 1 son. 3 of the daughters are pod born, while the remaining pair are natural born twins. The son is deaf and the daughter is 'legally' blind. Descriptions can be provided for them as well.
I'll write more later, but this should be enough to go off of.

I'll tell a little of what I have.

copyright is automatically attached in most countries (cf. Berne Convention of 1886), so no need to say donut steel.

That's impossible, light isn't matter, particle beams are matter, slowing light down doesn't make it matter any more than slowing a train down makes it a car. You'll need stronger technobabble.
about your story in general, I have no ideas for it, I'm afraid. You'll probably only get ideas from people who find what you have already interesting.

That sounds like a very interesting story. Farley unique as well, even though you have borrowed ideas from numerous sources.
The way I see it, weapons would be crude, but ship designs would be very sleek.
The TCF seem like they would have very robust ships. I would compare them to hotrods varying in age. Their weapons being missiles and lasers seems fitting, but I would also add that I think they should have the unique ability of point defense systems. Instead of shields, which seem out of place for this race, They should have very good point defense systems on all of their ships. It seems like laser cannons, since reasonably high tech, should be visible cannons on the ship hull.
The Destroyers seem like they should have very dark uniform ships being more organized than the other races. They should have crude shield systems, but not point defense systems. they should have very little shields, but a high repair rate which would allow them to stop brunt attacks, but would quickly wear making these ships best at hit and run tactics. Their weapon, being the most powerful, would be incorporated into the design of the ship, but should also be unidirectional. I think they should only be able to fire in a forward direction. They should also have some missiles of some sort, but these wouldn't be very powerful.
The Hunters would be your Borg in this game. You can give them 'assimilation' capability so that when you take over enemy ships, they develop organic components like they get mechanoid components for borg. You can give them special weapons so that the ship can be refitted with bio weapons, but it would have to be a manual refit. They wouldn't have any shields or defense systems, just a very high repair rate on their hull. If you wanted their infected ships to do that to, you would have to add that to the manual refit. They could be the only race with boarding capabilities, and they could even use the before mentioned "refit" process to upgrade their ships as they research technology. Obviously they would have their pulse weapons, which I think should be rapid and look like fluid secretions, but they could also have a special weapon being their torpedoes which could work like artillery torpedoes used by species 8472 in stock a2. Since the biological components would be asymmetrical, their ships would move considerably slower for the loss of aerodynamics.
If you want me to explain any of these further, I would be happy to do so.

You sum things up pretty well.
Though, I'd always imagined the Destroyers as having powerful weapons and shields, but with weak hulls that are quick to repair, aside from their armor. Some of their ships are only capable of having a forward firing arc, but most have weapons that have multiple firing ports. I imagined them as having transporters, though with the 'shield must be down' limitation. I was also thinking about customizing ships, with the shipyards making 'cookie cutter' ships and a small, buildable 'station' as the base for ships that can be customized. As for the 'dark look' you described, I actually imagined that their ships had a white and grey tinge, with some blue areas for the Neutronium armor.
Note: In this universe, Neutronium, in large amounts, can be radioactive. As a result, small ships can be have ~60% of their hulls as Neutronium while larger ships only have ~35%. Only the massive Destroyer Class can have 99% of its hull as Neutronium, due to its size and the technology lining the hull.
TCF ships are robust, and have much stronger hulls then the Destroyers. I'd imagined that they have shields, for laser, missile, and torpedo defense, though the idea of having no shielding, with polerized hull plating and Point Defense System sounds great. While they cant use Neutronium, they use a thick armor that makes up the bulk of the ship. I was also thinking of having them use the Klingon Commando Team special weapon to board ships, but I think its hardcoded to 'Klingon'.
The way you made the Hunters sound is perfect, though I'm not sure how they can board a ship without technology. Maybe some kind of pods that pierce the hull of a ship.
Now, to the game itself. I have a lot of ODFs and stuff, but still need some ideas for them. Currency with the Destroyers and TCF are credits, though Destroyer credits are worth 10 per TCF credit. What should the resources be for Hunter ships? Also, I've been thinking about debris that can be salvaged, I was able to make it so the ship is turned into debris, but how do I make salvaged debris disappear?
I also need textures for ships. TCF are meant to have silver or dark grey ships, and Destroyers have lighter colors. Hunters have a black look to them, but not so black that you cant see them easily. Anyone want to have a shot at it?
I've been encountering problems with the models I made with Milkshape, if anyone followed my last post. I have Milkshape now, but the models aren't showing up. The hardpoints are there, but the ships themselves are missing. I checked with Storm 3D Viewer, and it says they have no triangles. Anyone wanna help me there too?
Any and all help is appreciated.
