Will do

Sounds pretty good Boggz: I'll try to test it out this Friday+weekend (jam packed with quizzes and homework untill then I think

So... when will the strategic videos be up? You know... videos to show special maneuvers that we can all learn from? After all, I think a lot of people may benefit from those...

Videos should start popping up after the wiki section of the guide is completed and released - of course, one of the people who promised to start making videos with me wants to wait until patch 8 is out, so we'll see. I'm planning a major redo of guide's layout in any case, so whether videos come before that, or during that (the redo would be once patch 8 is out though - a perfect opportunity as I see it) remains to be seen
If Yandon has adequate time in the next few days/weeks I'll see if I might be able to get some maneuvers up though

Hit me up, I'll make time. (I just need to schedule it.)

Sounds like a plan - I'll get in touch with you when I think I've got plenty of time

I wouldn't mind a section in the guide (or a sticky on the forum) with a list of community "agreed" upon exploits that are not to be used. Basically, just need a centralized list of "exploits" that are not to be used. That way, before a game everyone can quickly agree on the "standard" rules easily (and there be less confusion and/or hurt feelings). As it is, the no-use list is spread out amongst multiple forum posts and it's easy to "miss" something.
i.e.
v3.07
Bug ram
Sensor jammer > 6
v3.08
Xyz exploit

dunno if its been mentioned but for the starbase the s key is both the hotkey for Stop and to build a scout

Ah, I've traditionally put that in the "Etiquette" subsection in the Basics section, but if you can think of a better place for that, I'll gladly comply. Maybe all it requires is its own header (right now it is buried in the text). I'll fix that now

Also I should not I am correcting some rather blatant errors that were present in the damage system section

Just added the "S" hotkey for scout, thank you

Perhaps as a list instead of a paragraph?

I like the format.
Is there a definitive list of all the "in big numbers = destroy a fleet" abilities? I wasn't aware of the Engine Overload until now. (i.e. "etc" is ambiguous, ambiguous = bad)

Hehe, gotcha
I think Engine Overload and Sensor Jammer are the only ones that really count - the IS bomb can work... but is really too expensive. I left the etc in in case I left something out - but I shall remove it
EDIT: updated the way the Unit System reads... should be much clearer now, as well as actually accurate!
EDIT: Zebh has fixed the glitch with the Unit Overviews. Everything should be working again

EDIT: Just thought I'd "officially" post that the site for the guide is indeed down (since about 2 days ago) - seems the whole server is down, so I'll let you know when things are back up.
Happy gaming
I'll start trying to release pdf versions of the online guide as soon as possible so that if such events continue to happen, there isn't just a relatively obsolete pdf version of the guide

In game, generix ship has a supply cost of 9. Guide says 18. Unit Overview - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Fleet Operations

I've noticed that only the base numbers are supported now. In the generix case, it's using the base supply, which is 18, instead of showing avatar bonus.
