yeah they need more of a punch for there upper class of ships, and they are a scientific race as well, so i think they could do with some good upgrades, like maybye refits and such

Warp-In will get a change in the next patch, you will get 3 vessels at once (from normal warpin, experimental warpin stays as it is). All 3 vessels are selected randomly, but you have a good chance that one of it will be a larger one (a Nebula or a Galaxy)

That sounds a bit more appealing but I still don't see the point when you can build a bunch of shipyards and pump out Sovereigns and Sabers. Plus once SF Command is destroyed there goes your chance for reinforcements. I'd rather save the resources so there's gotta be a way to make the older ships more useful.

A Shipyard will build the Vessel, then it goes to the location under it's own power. Warp-In ship go directly where you tell them (straight to the battle) without the normal Impulse delay. When your in a battle that could be going better, I'd take SFC over the Shipyards anyday.

All the more reason for a combat boost. No sense sending a support ship (Nebula), artillery ship (Steamrunner), and underpowered ship (Galaxy) straight to their deaths otherwise it should be changed to Kamikaze-In.

Time, building them and sending them there takes time. Time is rarely unlimited. Not to mention it depends on the enemy, if it was the Borg, I'd send in a Colony ship with 1 TMP-Era weapon if I had too!

I understand the method to your madness (reminds the Voyager episode where a Borg scout threatened Voyager and they simply torpedoed em into space dust), but you'll notice that the stats on the Galaxy aren't very strong, the Nebula has full scan for support, and the Descent has a high defensive value. They have a more defensive role than rush in and attack. The Sovereign and Carneval fulfill both these roles so I'd spend more time concentrating resources on these vessels that's why I think the warp-in ships should be tweaked.

The Galaxy isn't exactly Starfleets biggest muscle, but how many other non-Borg ships can multi-target? At the moment, only 2 come to mind, making 3 ships out of 4 whole empires.

The multi-targeting ability is good against smaller ships but when I run into Vor'chas and other capital ships my Galaxies are toast. I'd be happy if the rate of fire and shield rate stayed the same when switching to type 3 torpedoes. Another idea is to have the option of having the type 3 being able to multi-target or send all 3 torpedoes slamming right into a single target like in "Yesterday's Enterprise."

@ Tyler
To maintain uniqueness is probably one reason

It was an example of what the Galaxy can do that other Starfleet ships cannot.

yeah hes right, i can see sending in a descent because of it dsefenses, but stemrunners are long range ships, its better to attack with a few of them

we are currently discussing changes on the sovereign and the defiant, but it will take a while until they are final

For warp-in I'd like to see the chance (a slim one, maybe) to bring in Federation allies, like the Ferengi, Tamarians, or other races like that. It gives you the opportunity to play with ships that are a little bit different. Plus it would explain why you wouldn't build them in a normal Fed shipyard...

You would actually expect those Ferengi cowards to fight?
