What if it was voyager with the armor up since it is immune to even Borg weaponry I think it could take what either side threw at it. Speaking of which why doesn’t the enterprise have the armor technology in Nemesis it gives the federation a significant tactical advantage over the other alpha quadrant powers. Personally in the end I think Star Trek has better ships but would be slaughtered if it came down to ground combat I mean hand phasers against an AT-AT it just is not a fight.

The Scimitar wasn't even part of the discussion, the Scimitar is a god ship...and the Death Star would own it, plain and simple, it'd just be a matter of who shot first.

If you plan to be drunk, then you should watch what you do, a public Internet forum is not an ideal place to be, your rude and immature attitude is tiring, and i'm not going to get into a name calling contest with a 12 year old.

SHO260, Star Trek has some impressive ships true, but they all serve a very specific purpose, starfleet inperticular is not a warring empire, it's ship's aren't purely devoted to battle. The Galactic Empire's Star Destroyers were designed to destroy heavily defended fortifications on a planet's surface, and impose fear. They are obviously very powerful ships, now the borg...The borg would be trouble some for the Empire, no doubt....The Borg and the Romulans however were not part of the discussion...They have some very specific advantages, cloaks, Thaeleron weapons (An absolutely absurd weapon, but I wont get into that now.) adaptive sheilding and cutting beams...The fact is, a sovereign class versus an Imperial Star Destroyer is just a simple battle favouring the Star Destroyer, no problem. I do however believe the borg would destroy the Empire easily...I'm not defending Star Wars to my last breath, don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars more then I love Star Trek sure, but Star Trek is still plain fun Some advantages though, your right, an Imperial ground invasion would simply own starfleets defenses, also the orbital bombardments...San Francisco would be a parking lot

This is a little of from what we been talking about but Lords of Kobol do you think the borg or the cylons would win out in a fight. bacause on the one hand the borg assimilate everything but on the others the cylons master of computers might be able to download a ai and take control though the borg network.

ps love battlestar can't wait for jannuary and the rest of the season

4 to 11, appology accepted There would be some close battles, but I believe a victory class frigate could take an Intrepid no problem, and a Star Destroyer could shut down a sovereign. The Scimitar is a god ship, so you really can't compare it as part of the star trek universe, it's like trying to compare Vader to Q

It was for fun, we're not planning to board our star destroyers and galaxy classes to battle it out hun Comparing the two is for fun, like comparing the Borg and the Cylons for example, the Cylons would own the borg, nuclear weapons and all hacking...yeah, basically the Cylons own the borg because they could hack the Borg Hive Mind. It's not like I'm taking this seriously to prove that star wars ships could destroy the star trek ships...

SHO260, excellent, I can't wait either...Admiral Kane needs to be shot, or nuked...whichever kills her faster...I say Adama needs to disable her engines and leave her, Cylon meat. Firm believer in the Cylon cause, even as the Colonial gods, speaking as one entity of course, humans are just becoming more and more cruel, eventually something like the Cylons is going to have to destroy our population, for us to realize how we need to work together for a better world...not fight over this measily little planet.

Ok, wow...flame war? I don't envolve myself in "flame wars". I was as shocked as you, but 4 of 11 appologized, he was intoxicated and I know I've done some stupid stuff while drunk, so I understood. Your reaction to this does nothing helpful in that area...

Quantum torps are overrated, and they have a very limited amount as I mentioned before and yes, if they nuked the ship with the warp core i'm sure it would destroy the ISD...of course the ISD could also just ram the sovereign...and don't you need POWER to fire a torpedo?

But since people are so up in arms about this...I will stop discussing it if it really bothers you so much Fullphaser, I'm sorry for opening the discussion if it really caused people so much greif...

kobol, you cant ram something that you cant catch the sovie is not only one of the fastest ships in the fleet, but it also has the manuvuerability of a ship 1/4 of its size.

in comparative terms the ISD on the other hand has the manuvuerability of a cinder block.

& about the quantum torps, did you not see what they did to that cube? mg:

ISD are surprisingly quick for their size, Episode IV A New Hope, Chasing the Millinium Falcon. and in First Contact? yes...they exploded...woot... however, an ISD has a massive amount of proton torpedos, now if they are stronger then quantum torpedos is not in question, fact is an ISD can launch them in mass amounts...So if they are just as strong as photons or not, there are still a load more than the sovvy has
