3.1.0 Bugs

I see now about the cooldown.  Yeah, reducing that to 5 seconds would be nice.  Also, having the bug and bomber trade passives would go a long way to helping in the early game.  Letting bugs have fast tracking (they are a fighter of a sort) and bombers take less damage from medium ranged vessels would be beneficial. ^-^

Breen Cruiser

When ranking up, it lose its ability to cloak....keeps saying that Breen Cruiser Cloak has to be researched.

Klingon Sensor Station

When trying to use the scanning abillities, it says it needs 120 special energy.
The sensor station has 99?!?!?!?!?!?!  :sweatdrop:

already reported, they said they will fix it. :thumbsup:

it can't use either of its two abilities, the other ability costs 100, just 1 more special energy than the scout station has.  :sweatdrop:

i dont know if it is a bug (or if it has already  been reported)  but the romulan scout, once you research and upgrade the scout to be able to detect cloaked ships, it can no longer cloak itself.

the verbage seems to support this, but i dont know if it was intentional.

This seems to be a new bug (after looking through the various postings already here) and it's quite a frustrating one.

FLOPS 3.1.0 installs fine, no problems at all until, that is, it comes time to play.

When FLOPS loads I get no menu, just a black screen with a mouse cursor on it. When moving the mouse around the centre of the screen where the menu should be I can here the 'beep' of the menu options being moused over so they're there, just invisible.

If I pressed ctrl+alt+del and then go back to the game the menu is visible, I've tried every possible graphics setting there is and even reinstalled the 3.1.0 update twice, the problem still persists.

Using the above method I can get into an actual Instant Action game and begin play but if I esc out of the game there is once again no menu, just a black screen, a mouse cursor and 'beeps' from the buttons that I cannot see. Unfortunately the ctrl+alt+del method doesn't allow me to see this menu so I cannot save games etc!  :(

As background information I am using a Toshiba Satellite P100-240 laptop running Windows 7 Professional 32bit. I have yet to try FLOPS 3.1.0 on my desktop also running Windows 7 Professional to see if this problem exists there too.

Has anyone else found this to be an issue for them?

PS: From what I have managed to play of the game it is awesome :D Keep up the good work guys!

::EDIT:: I should mention that I've had no problems running any previous versions of FLOPS on either system.

I'm not sure if this was intended or not but ships that use specials under cloak decloak immediately after you trigger it.
K'vorts shield breaking torpedo, Serkas silent resolve are the ones that I used so far.

Not sure if this one has been reported but the breen ships got some problems when they rank up, if you have dampening missle or cloak rescheared, and one of the 2 breen ships ranks up, it says you need to reschearch it.

hey i have antoher bug...if you call fed ships with the starfleet command (e.g. galaxy, ambassador ect.)
3 ships arive but one ist warping back and there still 2 ships

  After upgrading the Romulan scout, it will send visible tachyon pulses, even if cloaked, so what's the use of cloaking if the enemy can see the pings ?!  :lol:

I think the upgraded Romulan scout cannot actually cloak, right? The idea is to force you to use both types of scouts, and as an early warning system, rather than the cure all for cloaking :)

Another bug in addition to Dexter's two cloaking related ones is that the Spectre refit cannot use its special weapon while cloaked (maintaining shields).

  I know it can't cloak, for the reason described above: it emits tachyon ping, so they decided to remove the cloaking device from upgraded scout because is useless. Duh !

  That sounds like you reached your 10 ship limit and one of the ships warped back out :).  Try it again.

Well, wouldn't be useless I think, as you couldn't target it in that case (unless you did a tach scan)  :sweatdrop:
