Nah, Riker was too busy planning to seduce them to realize they were trying to kill him!

Ok, I have another nominee for you, the crew of the lakota trying to take on the defiant. Even though the lakota was upgraded with type9 phasers and quantum torps the defiant really gave them a good ass kicking.

The Lakota did not have Type-9 Phasers, those are used on crappy little scouts. It must have had Type-11 at least since the Galaxy had Type-10. The Lakota did almost as much damage to Defiant as Defiant did to them.

the scouts and runabouts use type 4 and type 5 phasers. Standard excelsiors had type 8 phasers and the upgraded lakota had type9.

Scouts are different to Shuttlecraft, and how could the Lakota stand up to a Defiant with a Saber class's Phasers? Even the peace-time Galaxy had Type-10.

And here I return...to dissect this latest slew of posts.

Type-11 phasers on the Lakota? Are you kidding?

And is your last post suggesting that the 'war-time' Galaxy has type 11 or 12?! Phasers? You guys are seriously bad jokers, I don't get your humour.

I think most would agree with me that the Lakota was upgraded to type TEN, (10) Phasers, or the star-fleet standard, maybe even a high output type TEN (10). Same with the war-time galaxy class, I doubt they were type 11 or 12 but an uprated type TEN at most.

I do concur on the Saber using type 9 phasers. What's your source Firewarrior?

P.S way less smart than Tyler guy, the Lakota if anything was more POWERFUL than the Defiant, the defiant won with maneuverability and crew skill. Gosh, the people on here just get sillier as time goes on.

P.S. my first name is also Tyler.

I never said anything the Galaxy Class having Type-11 or 12 Phasers. Or Galaxy's getting Phaser upgrades, either.

I'm sorry, I was just surprised, you're usually very correct.

I read 'Even the peace-time Galaxy had Type-10.' as 'Even the peace-time Galaxy had Type-10.'.

That wasn't meant to imply war-time Galaxy's having stronger Phasers, just point out how silly it is to say the Lakota, a ship about equal to the Defiant in firepower, had only Type-9's.

I totally agree.

You got info from a site that puts a member of a cartoon band on the crew, gives the Lakota 30 Phaser arrays and reduces the decks by 6?

That takes guts.

actually the same stats are on DITL as well, but the link I gave you in an earlier post took you to the main page instead of the one with lakota's stats ;) check it out if you don't believe me. and they had 30 phaser banks, not arrays, phaser arrays have been introduced on ambassador class starships, they were not a feature of the excelsior class. the latter had banks of phasers encased in turrets ;)

That site lists almost everything about the Lakota as pure speculation.

I can't find more than 14, there are less on the hull.
