:woot:

...is basically all I need to say.

Oh, about my comment on the Defiant - I was definitely in favour of it! That may have been one of those times when I delete some of a post and the rest only really makes sense the same way in my head...

EDIT: And wow, in the previous update on texture mapping the ships now look more like filmed studio models than cgi creations! That's incredible!

looks very good. All the vessels too look very realistic.

the concept sounds and looks so frakin outstanding but.. after doing some reading i read you plan to focus on singleplayer and that multiplayer is in low priorety made me kind of sad.. because multiplayer is the best part of any game and the longest lasting thing from a game.. singleplayer will be forgaten much faster and will draw less players.

Not necessarily. What do most people mod Armada for?

i dont really know because i only track fleetops.. it's the far best mod for armada.. the team who made it gave armada at least another 10 years in today's game standarts with its graphics and complex strategy gameplay, and i wont be suprised if it will last much much longer because its 1.STAR TREK 2.fully multiplayer supported!
and to answer your question :whistling: i guess you want me to say that people moding mostly singleplayer? well... i dont really care......

just watched the video, and i really like it. specially the lighting/shadows/physics and of course the level of detail on the textures.
hope to see more in the future, specially what you're doing with damaged objects/ships etc.

We are making multiplayer a low priority, but we are still pushing to include it, perhaps not in the first release, but I am sure we will do it, it seems like a silly thing for us not too include.

We do not plan to sell Excalibur, it will be available for free download and the general rule of thumb where Star Trek is concerned is that if you are doing it for free, there shouldnt be a problem.  If we planned to sell the game and make money then Paramount/CBS would be on top of us like a tonne of Starships.

So to answer the question firmly, no there are not any copyright issues.
