I was looking for as much info i could find on the Ambassador Class and came across a listing of about 50 ship's, now i will list them in time i do know the Excalibur is in operation, Excalibur 2 is also in opoeration, etc, now if any have input on the Ambassador feel free to share, also her sustained warp 9.2 was good for 12 hours. I also came across many who feel that on STARTREK ONLINE, the missing link so to speak is greatly missed. The Ambasador Class at a length of 526m and 11 phaser banks, 3 torpedo bay's should never be underestimated.

Hehehe, I have to say that I have no clue what this is about.  Just praise on the Ambassador class?  Is there a question in here somewhere?

I like the Ambassador too!  :woot:  I always like getting 2 of them in a warpin.

Well Boggz its just a praise and a history, no fancy arguments, just a ship and its history.

Why would Starfleet commission the Excalibur 2 if the original Excalibur was still in service?  :ermm:

lol the ambas is my fav warpin, its just so useful. they nearly never die.

steamy is useful if used properly, there is a chance it will do nothing if it dies before firing. but ambas is never bad, it soaks up damage better than the leading paper towel brand. and its fast.

the only thing it is lacking is saucer separation. :D

As i stated in the last caption, iam going to be showing and explaining much more of the Ambassador Class then what we know of then in Yesterday's Enterprise. However iam seeing conflicting specs on the number of deck's and warp speed, deck's are listed anywhere from 29 to 32, and warp speed seems to be also different in the fact it ranges from 9.2 t0 9.4, to answer a previous question, i was wrong the original Excalibur was knocked out by Klingon's, the 2 was then constructed. I do want to note she did knock out 1 and heavily damaged the other, but was not able to take on 3 at one time.

What site did you get 'Excalibur 2' from? Because the only site I know of that uses that style does the numbers to show replacements; USS Excalibur 2 being the 2nd USS Exclibur, for example.

Conflicting information is to be expected, since almost all that we know about the Ambassador is fanon. Memory Alpha doesn't even have a Tech Manual entry for it! It does list the number of weapons, though (Ten phaser banks; two photon torpedo launchers).

Again i was wrong the first excalibur was knocked out, thus haveing the 2 one being built. I show many different views one say's 3 torpedo bay's, and 11 phaser banks, also phaser output ranges from 30,000 watts to 35,000? Anyways i will be listing a number of different ship's so watch for them.

I don't know about the output, but a blurry flashback in 'Emissary' showed a shot from an 11th phaser. It looks to have been fired from around or in the main deflector, somewhere the actual model doesn't have an array.

Any torpedo launchers I see tend to be in the same place as a Galaxy's.

Good question. However, Starfleet seemed to do this sometimes.

Take the Prometheus; There is a Nebula-class vessel named Prometheus and there's the Prometheus-class prototype. However it still may be possible the Nebula-class one has been destroyed, however the time-gap between them wouldn't be big. The Prometheus would have been under construction already when the Nebula-class one would have been destroyed.

Praise the Lord Ambassador-Class!  :sweatdrop:

What i most hated about Yesterday's Enterprise was the fact that the Ambassador Class itself was nothing more than an old Federation ship which was all but used up, no history no nothing, so i thought that i will day by day offer different facts.

I'm not entirely sure where you got that impression from...
