hey jet, even if u annoy everyone on fleetops.net, as long as u dont purposefully TRY to break the forum rules then u most likely wont be banned, the admins here dont like banning. i have never heard of a real poster being banned.

i guess if u came on with the sole purpose of insulting people then u might bet banned, but ur not doing that. so dont worry about getting your college ip BL'd

To reinforce that, nobody has ever been banned from FO.net as far as I know :). There's stern talking to if things get way out of control, but no banning  ^-^

Yeah, nobody's gonna ban you for making big posts, though I have to agree with loki.  If your posts were smaller, and more to the point,(and you didn't keep telling us what your rights were ) then we would be more inclined to help.  If you would approach each problem specifically, maybe we could knock them out easier.  One at a time, rather than categorized by topic in a wall of text. :whistling:

well i think some accounts were set up a while back with the sole purpose of advertising a golf club vendor, i think that account was deleted. but for real posters i've never heard of such drastic measures. proves what a nice community we have here.

I have always been specific about each problem, I can't help that means there's alot of information, it just all relevant to the situation. Without posting the relevant information about the problem no matter how long it might be, I've found that others trying to help fix the problems have sent me on wild goose chases with my game looking for a problem where it wasn't located, then I'm the one they say isn't looking hard enough for the problem when I even then post the proof that what they suggested wasn't where the problem was, because if it was, the logical course of action would be that the problem should then be fixed.

I hate having to waste my time looking for a problem in an area that its not located and have wasted hours trying to locate it when all along its elsewhere in the game. That is why I write long posts posting all the relevant information, that way nothing is left out and thus no wild goose chases.

Heh, hey its better than not fixing anything at all.  Atleast if you are looking in the wrong place, you now know where the big is not located.  It helps narrow things down.

I would suggest  posting only what your problem is, and not all the extra info.  In my case, and some others here, we can usually narrow down a crash or error just by when it happens.  If we ask for certain info we can usually narrow it down to one or two causes, but too much info can ofter be a bad thing, and a deterrent to readers.  If you could make a thread describing a single problem you have with just a little detail at first, I would be verry happy to help.  I often don't have time to read through all your posts, but if you can give a summary of a single problem, maybe we can start from there?

You are not the only one that hates waisting time.

If you want a short description of the problems, read the first to lines its usually right there in the title of the crashing problem what the issue is. Then the other information you can ignore, if you come up with a reason for the probelme just  post it, but then if you get this type of reply "Read the whole error please" (or soemthing close to it) then you are posting something I've already tried or narrowed it down from. After all, I do know how to trouble shoot my game and I do find most of the problems myself.

For those who don't like long posts, just read the first two lines of the crashing probelm, the error is most likely right there, but I rather be descriptive about the problem than keep trying suggestions that I've already tired myself that didn't work.

And this is part of the problem.  Nobody would normally say things like "they have the right" when responding to a polite inquiry.  This is not a court of law.

I think this simply underpins why some people have so much trouble relating to you.

What I find simply amazing is that you are in NY and have such problems with connectivity.  I thought in NY you could get a wireless connection just by sticking an antenna in your arse and get on the internet!

First you are thinking about the city of NY obviously because upstate (YES, there is a NY State, not just the City but everyone thinks people mean the city when they say NY), past Albany as in near and around the Adirondack Mountains, there isn't many people with wireless and those that have their networks set to private. Then there's the not so good citywide wireless put out by Frontier that you have to pay for. No, if you need an internet signal the best place to go is outside the library when its closed or to the library when its open or even to a friend's house which I used to do well I lived at one of my friend's houses.

I do have the right to not give out the college that I go to, any student has that right, Freedom of Speach after all, plus since its online I have no right or the privilage to give out the college's name or location, this comes directly from the Director of Public Safety and the College President. Sorry if that's a problem for you but its school policy.

I don't see what the problem is, I'm only here to get help with my mod and people are ignoring my pleas for help and then you got people like loki_999 carrying this on, its not me. So many times have I said that I want to get the problems fixed with my mod and so many times I keep getting ignored.

So NO, I won't stop because I'm here for one reason "I WANT SOME HELP TO FIX THE CRASHING ERRORS IN MY MOD, NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS, BUT I'M NOT GETTING IT, I'M BEING IGNORED HERE AND AT ARMADA FLEET COMMAND'S FORUMS.

Oh boy, you really don't get what I am trying to say do you?  Its fine if you don't want to give details, for whatever reason, but please, stop using words like "rights" and "Director of Public Safety" <- that sounds like it is straight out of 1984.

Correct.  :D

Ouch, my virtual ears hurt!  We know you desperately want/need help.  I really do sympathize with your problems.  You fail to understand that maybe, just maybe, people cannot or do not want to help and if help is not forthcoming you do not cry about it  :crybaby: you get on with life and seek an alternate solution.

:woot: Another page of **** has emerged from the blackness of insanity  :cloak:

Gotta love this thread more and more

jetnova16 wrote:It seems that people are just ingnoring me and  my games issues because in the end, guess what, other posts that I have don't get much replies or seem to go dead after I replied or I'm just ignored with what I wrote.

Dear jetnova16,

I know that I'm not the first one to tell you here that we are a very friendly and cooperative community. People around here would propably love to help you.
But since I have no time and not the brightest idea how to help you I simply can't.
So there's no sense in making a post: "Sorry, dude, I can't help you."
I have no idea for how many of the people around here I'm speaking at the moment.

Get it?
Got it?

C'mon, pleeeaaaase.............  :ermm:

Since this thread got derailed so hard I have to make that statement anyway: Why on earth did you choose to do something in class you obviously can't get done by yourself?
I guess you're 16 since you call yourself jetnova16? Here's some piece of advice: Searching challenges is fine, actually it's great and might have brought humanity to where it is today. But it's most of the time a plain stupid idea at school. Maybe not where you come from, though. Just don't make your life harder than it is ;)

Regards!

Speaking for me at least  :sweatdrop: . Hey, I can help give ideas on balancing, on coding new weapons in FO, etc - but most of us here are not modders (including me), so we probably don't have the foggiest idea how to fix very specific errors other than to offer some usual refrains, such as "check for missing apostrophes, quote marks, commas and reinstall and check step by step".  :sweatdrop:
