Do you mean the redone picture for Critical Shot?  ^-^

I like it tho I would like to make a suggestion. When you have a group of ships selected could you add the 5 system icons underneath each ship so you can see what system is disabled/damaged without having to manually select a ship to view its system icons?

That is indeed a good idea

Aw, I love the TNG-style LCARS. It might be a bit retro for a game set in the early 25th century though.

I like the look really clean and by the looks of it easy use. though i suggest moving the build queue pause timers to the bottom row? as anything above the minimap is blocking out the view :P

real nice job though. love it!

Just been looking and ive just noticed if the stations image, name, hitpoints etc if they were in the right hand corner above the build queue this would allow for space for the build options to drop down along with the timers research and cancel.

I was wondering, would it be possible to incorporate the Warp-In recharge timer and maybe even the Warp In buttons themselves into the UI... so it shows the timer next to the supply store (it would display the timer countdown or ready when it is, or if you don't have a SFC built it could display N/A or something) and maybe have a button to 'quick-select' the starfleet command structure, either by clicking on the timer or maybe have a button for it near or next to the timer or avatar icon, or something similar.  This would basically allow you to constantly monitor the timer and make it so u dont have to actively look for or hotkey your SFC.  Something similar could be possible with other races as well, such as the Intelligence Center for the Romulans.
Only an idea, no idea if such a thing is even possible or suggested before tho.

I really quite like the new UI. As others have stated, it is clean and tidy and (thankfully) removes the pointless waste of space/performance that come with the current cinematic window.

i think you can see damaged/destroyed systems direct on screen as it is in the old version.
I prefer that you can see the actual shield rating by moving over the green bars. Currently you just can see the Hull rating/ Hitpoints.

I wouldn't mind having a 28th Century style LCARS look (around the time of the NCC-1701-J I think).

Honestly, I don't like the new interface too much. Way too sterile, the old one adds much more to the Star Trek atmosphere. And in this field FleetOps was always many steps ahead of most of the other Star Trek games, this is more like a step back.  :(

I don't mind removing the cinematic window though, barely looked at it anyway.

They are probably working on a better one, they just need a sterile base.

hmm, its pretty good, i like that its smoother looking, and the new ship pictures look very nice, but i think the buttons are too white... maybe make them more gray, or more blue.

if the cinematic window is totally gone, ill be sad - i kinda rely on that to help me find out quickly whats going on when im attacked.

also, how will this look in widescreen? will it just have a bunch of empty space between the map and the buttons? if its possible, maybe enable the cinematic window when in widescreen mode?

Does that mean the cinematic window is gone (window hater's happy) or just disabled by default (everyone happy)?
