mmmm... I suggest there should be some unique mixed tech design between each race.

If I were the Klingons, there would be a different mixed tech design ship for each yard.

For the Dom keep it the same... the Dominion don't care much for variety.

Umm... isn't this already in the game?

No no no... I mean in the Fed mixed yard there is one design, in the Rom mixed yard there is another design, in the Borg there is another one, and so on. Each yard has a different mixed tech design.

I still don't think I understand you... do you mean a new design for every possible faction combination? (Aka, Miranda II for Fed/Dom, blabla for Fed/Klingon, etc)

Not to be negative, but I think the new interface looks terrible and unprofessional compared to the previous versions... Why mess with a good thing? It's really a waste

Not to offend anybody or anything, but have you seen the interface currently? it's design hasn't changed in ~10 years, and it's getting uh-gly. The most that can be done is pretty up the elements. It doesnt really support widescreen all that well, and it doesnt do a good breakdown of systems on the ship. Plus, it has that useless "what's happening" display in the bottom right.

I always thought the current version looks fine the way it is too without the funny windows vista/pre-school style appearance. I'm fond of the cinematic window too for use with another monitor.

BTW, I've been quite busy and have not had time to check up on the progress with 3.08, and ever eager to hear of a release date. What's the latest news?

I always wanted the borg interface to look like as if you were literally in a borg ship. All those circles, shapes, and green lines. I love those things. Is there anyway that you can make the races UI look like the UI of their computers? After all, you have a pretty good idea what each looks like.

Borg Interface: Throughout the Voyager Series

Dominion Interface: DS9: The Ship, DS9: Strange Bed Fellows (The scene when Dax and Worf are handed over to the Dominion as prisoners through the Breen)

Romulan Interface: There is a TNG episode where both the Enterprise and a Warbird are stuck in a temporal thingy... you can see plenty of interface there.

Klingon Interface: There are episodes of bridge scenes of Klingon ships all over the star trek series

Federation: Duh.... look anywhere!

I doubt the interface will ever look like the ones on the show, people will likely call them either too distracting or ugly. They already shot down the LCARS like that...
