3.0.8 Preview: Interface (Update)

i really like the updated gui, like the blue glow.. i guess the borg could get green glow?:)
however somthing isn't right with the buttons.. they cool and all but they don't fit to the general atmosphere, hard to explain and i don't have a better idea.

I know you guys got rid of the cinematic window, but is it possible to have a button that will access it in the same way you can go between the other two views?  Having a cinematic button would be good to get screenshots with, etc.

Optec,

Would it be possible to order the ships in a fleet (within their own fleet) by rank in the new Interface? For example, Veteran, Double Gold, Single Gold, Double Silver, etc. It would make it much easier to see what you have at a glance.

Actually, that is the way, it ust to be.  It was removed, because it gets anoying when you wan't to select ALL your akirs, not just the spacific ranked ones.  But the ability to switch would be cool.

I think you've misunderstood Adm. Zaxxon: I believe he means as in if you have 16 ships selected, in the little box where they register, the first one is a veteran, the second a double officer, the third group is a single officer etc...

Yes Dominus_Noctis, you understood me perfectly. Thanks for helping to clarify that.  I just think it would be nice to have them listed that way. Easier to see exactly what you have in each fleet.

I really dont like the new interface. It does not look like ST in any way. The old interface was absolutely perfect, I dont see any reason why it should be changed. The only improvement is the removed cinematic window.

Is it possible to skip Patch 3.08, i.e. will 3.07 be compatible with 3.08 and will I be able to intall 3.09 without 3.08?

The old Interfaces are much more atmospheric, they resemble the UIs from the TV series very good, even the Icons are with very much detail. When I play Federation in FleetOps 3.07, it feels like a Starfleet tactical simulation on an LCARS computer. The new interface kinda reminds me of a family home computer with clean round and coloful icons. 

I would rather like to see higher poly detailed ships (Norexan and Norway did still look like placeholders in afaik 3.04 (when I last played FO)). The NonPlayer Species is imo a much more anticipated featue, what about that?

Sorry for that harsh critics but this update is a whole disapointment for my part.

Well, the old interface had the small issue where the Romulan crest obscured part of the minimap...
