I'm still here lexxy, although dead is a pretty good description for me. =D

as for the mods. its doing good. i've reached the limits of what i can do in this patch. so i've put a hold on releases untill the next patch comes. but if you want to know waht i'm working on i'll share some stuff.

For one, the mod is no longer called 'Void', it's 'Star Trek Rouge Operations'. the title change comes about as an attempt to move away from the 'void stigma' this mod has been cursed with since the begining. giving me freedom to develop.

2. is that the massively complex factions like in the current version are going away. i'm going for a more streamlined competitive format. with a 4 ability per unit cap. no mobile repair mode. no yard drop.

3. also gameplay is more homeguard tug'o'warish. but with massive incentive to roam. there is also a little macro throw in. think war craft 3 meets moba. still mainly focused on the ship. but with a little macro outside to keep you on your toes.

4. less random ai. The Ai is more localized now. its still random spawn, but certain zones will have different strengths. instead of a messy scaling system.

5. Cube. is. awesome.

6. more team play focus. standarized roles, more synergistic and intresting specials.

Rest Assured. "Void 2" will come. just soon tm

im a bit sorry to hear that you will completely change the ability and rankup system ... had a little nice and cool idea for the romulans this morning :cloak: but hey ... change means progress and progress is always good :)
if youre willing you can tell me a bit more and detailed about your new ideas and so ( forum or pm ... as you wish ^^ ) and maybe if you need some help, maybe someone to discuss your ideas with or just a labrat to test something ... just ask ;)

Glad to hear that development continues. There are so few of us left these days.

I'm also glad to hear it!

I think there a lot more modders in a sort of hibernation, like myself, waiting on the next FO patch. With filefront the way it is, there is no real demand for little stock mods in my eyes, just models, TC's and FO mods. I still plan to finish at least one of my two mods when the next patch is finished, and depending on how that goes' I may do the other. :)

Well its sucks to change but the current system was far too convoluted to ever be truly engaging. the new one is going to be far superior.
