oh i thought he ment to have the ships actually have their actual registry displaied on the ships texture

No, that would be a bitch to get in a Fleet-based game. Except for Hero ships like Enterprise though, they could get away with it.

It is interesting to have Armada 2 with the FO ships. But I'll wait until things run smoother.

I take that Cardassians and 8472 are stock A2, as they are not present in "stock" FO. For now.

actually all non map objects are stock a2 (inc resource planets) but they have the updated textures from project upgrade. yh i'm having troubles with team colours but the only way i know to solve this is to import into ms3d and then rexport which will also break animation so atm they are just one of those things may fix the non-animated stuff tho

Sorry, I cannot help. The only modeling stuff I did was with DOGA and its standard 3D pieces. I even downloaded MetaSequoia to make my own pieces, but I didn't succeed even in making a simple cube. :(

This is one of my attempts at building a DarkSithian BattleCruiser, the "Stuffed Leech", with Martian camouflage painting.

ok well i think i'm close to a beta version but for now here is the most up to date progress (either install over old copy or delete old copy before installing as it is a full install again (sorry for that)

[ COMMING SOON ]

this has the improved textures from project upgrade and the new 8472 retexture mod on a2files and used the a2 gui.

things todo before beta is ready:
- get the upgrade physics ingame
- remove the crew and officer resources
- try and remove the unneeded files
- add more resource planets
- fix as many found bugs as possible

NOTE

i will not be adding/changing any meshes or balacing issues so please dont ask.

i'll add the registries if you can find me ship names/registries for freighter, colony, cargo and repair ship (plus ship class names would be great incl construction ship)

i'll look into it  mayb but not confirming yet as the idea of this mod is mainly to bring a2 to fo (i dnt mind replacing textures to make it look better or changing codes to get it working).

So is this the Beta version?

In my stock games, I use the Pyramid for Consturctors, Zodiac for the Mining Frieghter, Surac for the Cargo Freighter, Raven for Colony ships and Newton for the Repair ships (Using SS instead of USS, except for Repair ships). They are all in the file that you get and work because they are unused Classes not shown on the show.

For the other races, picking a random name from the ship odf's work wonders.
