Congrats to butters on the win. Was fun to watch a Fed vs Fed game as well.  Warp-in wars!  Those Monsoons also showed their worth.

I think one of ClintSats major error was sticking with E2 production when he was on the back foot.  E2s are good at what they do, dish out big damage to buildings and slow ships... but facing Monsoons perhaps not the best choice.  I did like the Norway production, just a shame he didn't get Assault Mode researched (at least I didn't see that).

Still, a fun game to watch and congrats to both players for making it to the final.  You showed some of us how much we have yet to learn.

  That's interesting ... I noticed from the replay that no one used the wormhole ... odd.

  I'm still convinced that it has something to do with Wormhole mechanics.  I've yet to see an OOS on a non-wormhole map.

The point imo was that Clint had a horrible micro! He lost 3 Warpins for nothing and did not scout. E2 were a good choice imo since they could have eaten up the warpins...instead he went for the small and shielded Monsoons also the Norways were a wrong descision imo he should have gone for Intrepids (less tri so more for special research remaining)

i think he went norways to counter the intreps, but by the time he got his norways and moved to e2, mons were being fielded.

the computer auto targetted the mons, and over half the e2 damage just vanished.

he should have taken control of targetting himself, and directed the fire to the medium sized intreps, so only 20% of the torps miss. after all intreps and warpins are gone, then take on the tough nut mons.

You guys are probably right.  In the time those E2s spent trying to add their firepower to the destruction of the Monsoons they could have instead taken down some of the other ships, or perhaps more useful, killed the shipyard which would have messed up his forward base.

they would have killed the intreps much faster. intreps have less defence than 2 monsoons combined. yet the damage from excels was being more than halved (HDSG + 40% miss rate against smalls) so it would have been far quicker to target the intreps and warpins.

the yard should be killed last as its got no gunz.

excel 2 cannot retreat so once u attack u have to win, or accept large losses.

Ahh... poor Plasma Coil being neglected  . Would have made short work of all those Monsoons and Intrepids

I researched it very late..

It was definitely a bad game.  To be honest, fed just doesn't suit my play style and I tend to do really silly things... especially when I do not have a cloaking scout.... 

I have dabbled in double yarding instead of SFC but I can't seem to make it work though I am sure the issue is me rather than the strat.

How come the posts don't include avatars with the race/color? It can be tough to tell at times unless the spec gets curious, since they rarely stay on a unit long enough to tell.

Pretty sure that's because Yandon does his notes before the game starts.

  He usually mentions it in-game.

Well TUN, i have seen you play better.    If you are going to play like that again let me know and i'll try my chances! 

If i could award a man of the match though I would give it to Boggz.  I know, strange giving it to someone on the loosing side, but his tenacity and play was very good I think.... just a shame Clint won the early game against him.

Of course well played to Clint and Stardust.
