that are is a id for a task that is marked to be shown on the project progress site but have an empty description (by accident). the internal bug/feature tracker got a little overhaul yesterday and we all still have got to be used to it's new interface :)

lol I wouldn't do that, just give one of the 2 avatars a bonus to rhienn torp refits, as right now it gets no bonuses from either.

The torp refit's role is hit-and-runs against battleships, but by the time anybody builds battleships in this game they have a fleet that's too big to hit-and-run against.  I love it as a ship, but hardly ever get to use it in a game.

Good side: 2 of them can burn an expansion in 20 seconds (40 if you kill the refinery).  :thumbsup:
Bad side: 2 of them cost the same as 3 V13 battleships or an assimilator.  :crybaby:

hehe, yep. This does not mean that the torpedo refit is too strong or too weak, just that we think there could be more fun solutions to play with it ^-^

You mean battleships and cruisers, don't you?  Basically 2/3 of the forces in FO AND it can handily take out stations.  Remember that it can evade most large vessels, and it gets a 20% attack bonus vs. cruisers.  It's a really nice ship, trust me. ^-^

Perhaps you could have parts of the assimilated vessels actually be replaced by Borg parts?

Like bits of a Galaxy-class saucer suddenly become the same as Borg hull. I know that sounds like a lot of work and to be realistic it would have to be randomised but perhaps the replaceweapon odf commands can make it a little easier?

its already built into the engine so that ships when captured by borg can have an alternative texture or hard model nodes... the devs currently just don't use it like team colours appearing on ships...

It's possible to have them replaced by cheating and not changing model; just have a part entirely covered without following the original shape.

Wouldn't need replaceweapons, nor would it be too much harder than the current style.
