I think the Chargh combat tractor is perfect as it allows brels to actualy get in close.

I don't think I've ever seen you use the Charg'H, not to mention research the tractor beam :P

I've been the victim of some Chargh tractor beams from Funny before.  Granted it was a Free For All and time was given to Funny to make a sexy mixed fleet while I harassed Mort the Borg.

That tractor beam can be very handy for keeping a powerful short ranged ship out of combat, keeping something from escaping, and so on and so forth.  I"ll be honest though, it's really not useful enough to warrant the expense of having to research it.  I think it would be one of those rare opportunities where having it COME WITH might actually be appropriate.

Guess I spoke too soon  . I definitely agree that it would be nice if the ship came with the tractor beam already installed :)

i still want the tractor beam to be able to move the targeted ship.  lock on a ship (friend or foe) and drag it to with range of a shipyard for repair or starbase to be destroyed  >:D

Combat tractor can be very annoying when used effectively.  :shifty:

Annoying is about it when used on the Feds.  It gives grief to what...the Intrepid and the Monsoon?  Everything else has the range to ignore it.  Not so great on the Rommies or Dommies or Borg either.

Okay, maybe it's meant for fighting Klingons who aren't using Vor'cha/Sang heavy fleets.

Like a lot of early klingon specials, it was designed so that you could snare a ship and have your brels and kvorts swarm the target.  If someone is kiting your short ranged ships, you can pick them off one at a time and win.  But these specials are really hard to use effectively.  I would really be interested to see how combat...hhmmm.  I just had an idea about how to use it while typing.  I'll have to test this out... :cloak:

I just tried to use Charghs and Kvorts, and have my charghs decloak near an enemy and use the tractor beam, but it was kind of eh.  It might work in mulitplayer, but I'd rather be making sangs, I think.

It might work if you use the thing with Neggies instead.  Treat it as a late-game thing.  Even though late-game ships will blow it to pieces in an eyeblink, it may slow them down long enough that they get hammered by the Negh'vars.

If it was included in Martok's tree I would agree.  But Sangs are fast, long ranged, and can handle anything kind of vessel once they level up.  They're your end game unit for taqroja in multiplayer.  Not to mention the fact that the imperial yard is really expensive without the discount.

Word.  :pimp:  You gotta be a pimp to afford Taq-Neggies.
