Actually, Nero went back in time and tried to kill the Fleet Operations team, but he failed. This had the side effect of delaying their work on the patch. In the original time line, patch 3.08 came out when I said it would. However, we now exist in an alternate time line. All that we ever were, our lives, have been completely changed by this delay. The good news is that we're all taller, sexier versions of ourselves.
Unfortunately, I can't tell you when the release date is for this new time line. I'm too busy making out with gorgeous red heads with green skin and starting fights in bars.

Whats up with an Orion in Starfleet, they are like the Ferengi, they don't especially like the Federation. While fleetops 3.08 is attempting to adjust, I will spend my time making Kobayashi maru tests and studying logic.

Hmmmmm..... Optec, is there a plan for additional Ferengi vessels to appear? Instead of just a plain D'Kora Class? If so, can you give us some class names?
I'd personally like to see these:
Torkon Class Experimental Weapons Cruiser (Seen in various Ferengi mods)
S'Kara Class Light Cruiser (Seen on SFC3 Files, refered as a Marauder CL)
Goront Class Strike Cruiser (Seen in some A2files mods)

well, a non-usable vessels isn't really any fun, but i remember a Diamond special weapon being able to OVERRIDE another ship, and if you fired it AT a ferengi vessel, it would instantly self-destruct. i remember that was ammusing
sometimes, a little joy out of life is all we can hope for.

I remember A marauder tried to steal one of my disabled Brel's near the edge of the map. I ordered my ships to fire on it and they destroyed it when it was off the map *I heard the boom* then later I heard "Soon I will be Grand Nagus" but no visible Ferengi Ships... Apparently another Ferengi ship came to steal my Brel which I could no longer see because the first Marauder had managed to tow my ship off of the map...
The whole situation was very strange. Guess the Ferengi have the ability to exist "Outside" the playable map area... Wonder if this is a bug?

I gotta give the ferengi points though; they are pretty fearless. They'll just go right in and steal a derelict borg sphere without a thought. That's dedication to one's line of work.

Nah, don't think that's a bug Quaddmgtech - afte rall, that's where their spawning points are: you can actually even place objects and ships "off" the edge of the map - they just won't show up unless you bring up the map editor again.

Ok so take a look at the first page of this thread. Dated in 2005. You can see a MAJOR difference in who patrols these forums like jackals now vs. then. Kind of a trippy thought

If you place, say, a torpedo turret off the edge of the map, will it still fire at something that passes close to the edge? Just curious lol

That reminds me... I used to do a trick where I'd make a ship of mine derilict by going into the yellow nebula in stock. Then a marauder would tow my ship away, I would beam crew aboard and then blow up the marauder

probably, although you wont be able to manually target it. Your ships will likely still be able to fire at it if they are within their weapons range.

Do you think that the old Draconarius class from Armada 2 might make an appearance in a future patch? Though it was crummy, it did have some cute features, and was just a stock - run of the mill no special weapons/abilities ship.
Hmm, maybe that's why it isn't so popular. Guess I answered my own question! Those Romulans, so draconian harhar...
