There is a problem with the Dominion fighter stats, the armor and system values are too high, making them too durable. In a game against klingon, one opponent saw a fighter that got hit by four (FOUR!) Klingon turrets and kept flying. That makes a Dominion fighter very close to invulnerable, so they are considered "bugged".

Besides that, the fighters negate the "zergling" tactics favored by a lot of Federation players, making them quite pissed. :)
I consider the offensive value of the Dominion fighter to be accidentally correct. A fighter meant to deal with other fighters doesn't need much durability or firepower, but when the intention for the fighters is to fight targets of Destroyer type or above, either you spam 100 weak fighters at once or you have fewer, but with enough firepower to harm them. Specially if you are dealing with Borgs.

Still, a lot of people consider "bad manners" to use Dominion fighters as base defense. Sore winners, I say. :)

Yeah, I have to work on my quoting. Anyway, it would be cool to have some missions. Just randomly fighting is just sort of.......................boring. If would be very interesting to have some sort of storyline for the combat. Like Klingons vs. Romulans and Ciadan and all of that.

Once 3.0.8 comes out I think I'll start cracking on getting an unofficial storyline/campaign leading up to the present FO storyline out (thus reliant on the already added factions). It depends how much free time Mark has and how much progress Megadroid makes on the campaign things--most of the stuff that would be needed for a neat campaign is already possible though :D

Which tasks? Important ones? I also have an annoying glitch to report. I was playing a regular game with a bunch of AIs, and all of a sudden for no reason the game crashed and some error message came up that said that the game was not not working. Then the whole thing just closed out for no real reason. I tried 3 or 4 times and the same thing happened again when I tried to load some games. I don't know what the heck it is, but it should be fixed.

Send the error reports to Doca. Otherwise there is no way anybody can fix them ;)

Hopefully when I finish my Sona proj it is considered for the 3 Avatar patch... otherwise it'd be for nothing...

It is unlikely that a custom mod will make it into official release. However, if the devs ever think you are good enough/show enough skill they may ask you to join their team, although I have only known that hapen once (Zeich/Overlord)

But keep trying, I normally have a second install of Fleet Ops just so I can add all these great mods people have made.

EDIT: I just really confused myself by making multiple replies at once. Basically I said the same thing in your mod thread Gamer.
