Tyler wrote:'All eggs is one basket' and 'big' are not the same thing. Sovereigns were never implied to be anything but combat-focused and are larger than any Starfleet ship except the Galaxy. You really have an obsessive and irrational phobia of large battleships.
Not that I'm saying small ships are bad, I just don't get why you're so passionate in hating big things when many fan-ships range from small to Sovereign-level size. Though, I agree with you about 870 being a bit over the top.
Not a phobia, but a dislike. It is rare to see a fan based new large vessel being proposed without near "Godlike" abilities. I've been a member of a mod team for Ra2/YR and after some time you grow really tired of all the OP units being proposed.
@Myles: Yes the Steamrunner (not Steamroller, minor typo

I would love to see the return of that version even if it would mean losing the artillery variant.

the steamroller typo couldnt be more accurate though, thats a very good description of the steamy. although most fed ships can roll to a degree.

Steamroller is very accurate when used for the Federation in general, especially one with Warp-In.
I don't see god-like large ships often, most of the OP ships I find tend to be smaller ones (especially things like the Achilles or Defiant-based ones).
Still, what the creator decides it is and what the downloader makes it aren't always the same. I've never seen the point of discriminating against a ship when stats are so easy to change (in Armada, at least). I just used FO ships as a base to prevent balance issues.

The current Steamrunner is a nice bonus when granted through a warp-in.
I just like small/medium sized vessels. It's more of a challenge to use them.
The Steamrunner was a sturdy design and i would love to see it more ingame as a light cruiser without the Artillery.

I think this is a really great looking ship, except for the weird light/dark pattern. I think this ship looks a lot like the Phalanx fighter carrier that's already in the game, though, and I really don't see the need for another super streamlined euradi yard ship.

Which is another plus for the working idea of it being a Risner Experimental Warp-On to replace the Descent not a buildable ship.
