Prometheus in FleetOps?

I decided to make it poll just because, I dont care about the end result just curious on others thoughts.
The real reason made the post is because FLOPS is based during or after Voyager in which we did see the Prome. I was wondering why the devs made the phalanx instead of using the prome and since some do and dont like the MVAM why not just use the model and leave MVAM out.
I personally like the way the Prome looks, and dont care if it has MVAM but since i no that some people dislike the current phalanx model (I dont mind it) i thought i would ask and make a poll to spark some debate.
P.S. I no the Feds get most of the attention and im not intentionally doing this it was just on my mind.

I personally would like the Prometheus in and the phalanx. I think the Prometheus would fit well as either avatar specific or a very rare warp in. I have no preferance on MVAM.
I'd love a phalanx with similar lines to the Prometheus. It'd be cool if they were sister designs like the galaxy and nebula.

Personally I think the Prometheus should be a regular production vessel whether or not MVAM is implemented in FLOPS. The design ends up being a proven one, as a ship of the class is seen at the battle of Procyon V in the 26th Century.

I wouldn't mind a non-MVAM Prometheus as a production ship (no avatar exclusive) with a seperate Warp-In MVAM Refit. Just like MVAM is a Retrofit-feature in STO.

yeah id be happy with that. would it be more powerful than the phalanx or not?
imo
i would think in mvam it should get offensive buff at the expence of each segment being weaker, but regular mode armour/shields should be alot higher than the phalanx but its weapons wouldnt ba as powerful as the phalanx
and personally im not so keen on the current phalanx model but i still like the ship. i look forward to seeing its remake

I second that. Personally i'd like to see the Phalanx depart, but that discussion is for another day.

I wouldn't mind seeing a redone Phalanx first.
The Prometheus will appear some day and it'll be early enough. Magnan rocks!

I no the Federation is a very defensive oriented faction and if the PROME would end up in the game i personally wouldnt mind seeing it be a highly offensive vessel, IMO.

They're only defensive in general, so a heavy-hitter wouldn't stick out too much; Risner is (supposedly) an offence-themed avatar.

Yea see i would like to see a heavy hitter it would go well with the profiles that are being introduced in the next patch, plus it would just be nice to see a heavier hitter on the feds side (not that the sov and defiant dont hit hard).

defiant/phalanx/teuto are already offensive in the extreme, so i think it's established that the feds can apply force begrudgingly when needed. or in the case of the defiant, apply force liberally whenever the fuck they feel like it.

IDK im not a fan of the teuto but thats just me and the phalanx is only on risner. and if your playing against the borg defiant isnt an option. so yea i personally use defi and sove.

The romulans have a tavara or 2 depending on the avatar,plus all the warbirds are quite powerfull.
The dominion have s7 defenders, v13, if you choose breen the breen battleship, and if you have mixed tech you get the dread.
The Borg have cubes, diamonds, and pyramids.
the klingons have luspet, and the neggy with weapons overload= death to all whom object
Personally i dont think any of the fed ships stand out compared to all of these. The Phalanx is ok but take forever to build, are slow, are always the first ship to die, and is only on one avatar so i dont use them. The sove is a good overall ship. and the Defiant is awesome against ships, but absolutely terrible against borg because of low crew and suck against stations.
I think the prome would be a great offensive ship, let alone a great ship in general. It could have a crew rate inbetween defiant and sove since it is still a escort, and a large off and low to mid def. not sure what kind of special it could have but i think it would fit perfectly.

At least one of the devs really doesn't like MVAM, which I suspect has blocked the Prometheus from being anything other than a half-developed map-object ship, so instead of that perhaps something based on "Attack Pattern Alpha".

Yea Optec doesnt like MVAM. Which is fine i was just suggesting using the Prome as a model and giving it some other special.
Plus the only way MVAM could work and be balanced (IMO) would be when initiated the off is devided into 3 and maybe each portion gets another 2, 3, or more points as a bonus because it is its special. the def i think would have to stay the same though cause other wise it would be pointless to use the MVAM. So if in MVAM one section gets blown up before a timer goes off and it becomes one again the whole ship blows up or something like that.
Which is alot more work than its worth at this point.
