Concerning the Hutet, it doesn't even really exist right? It was just made up for the Dominion Wars game so that the Cardassians wouldn't completely suck. I mean so it's over a kilometer long, so? We all know that the Cardy shield generators leave much to be desired (since even keldons are ripped apart easily by type X phasers) so if you hit one of these hypothetical hutets with a couple dozen torpedos from say an Akira or Galaxy the immediate result is going to be it blowing up into a million billion pieces.

I don't know about making the Cardies a race or even an avatar for that matter, the dominon already have the breen they are going to need a vorta, The Cardies were once on par with the Feds it mentions a war many a time with just those two races, so mabey the Cardies have more military potential then we give them credit

Absolutely. What I was talking about when I said about the Cardassians not being in the Dominion is that they left the Dominion at the end of the Dominion War.

nah actually i think i saw a hutet in the dom war episodes. but im not that sure cause them ships lookin all quite the same

but i think there was a hutet in the episodes

I'm not sure about this, but many of the ship classes in FO are not really seen in the series, so the Hutet should be in with the rest of the Cardassians.

I'd like to mention that in the series finale of DS9, the Cardassian ships fired upon the Jem'hadar and Breen ships, so the Cardassians must have upgraded their weaponry to make it comparable to that of the Federation and its allies.

Dude of course they fired lol but comparing the size of the vessle and its firepower thay arent as good as other races ships

mabey now but I am sure earlier that they were a powerhouse, mabey the Feds did to the Cardies in their war what the US did to the Japanese after WWII

The disarmorment didn't happen till after the war and I haven't heard any refence to pre-Dim War disarmorment.

There was, I believe, a disarmament after the Border Wars, but it was revealed that the Cardassians were sneaking in contraband to certain outposts. This was in the first-ever episode that brings up the Cardassians in TNG.

Another feature that should be added to a possible Cardassian race on FO is the Kalen class. I heard about it on the web, but there is no picture of it. All that I know is that it is cloak capable, and some of them were used in the failed attempt to destroy the Founders.
