I thought about this topic and remembered that GUL DUKAT stole a KLINGON BIRD OF PREY. BOPs have cloaking devices, so the Cardassians should have been able to reproduce that technology, so it would seem reasonable to have cloaked Cardassian ships.

Well firstly they only had one cloak from that incident. It would be reasonable to assume that they didn't have the resources to make more, or at least mass produce them. Also maybe they just wanted to divert resources on other war materials.

You know I'm not so sure the Cadassians could copy klingon technology so easily ... imagine african natives trying to build a Pentium factory in their backyards, that's kinda what it would be like.

Well I doubt the differance would be like that but there prolly would be a small technology gap. Actually it might be the Klingons behind, who knows.

I think the technology difference is rather extreme, I mean compare a vorcha to a galor, or a neghvar to a keldon. The Cardassian stuff pretty generally sucks. I mean the galors have a single phaser equivalent to type 9? What a joke. I think the Cardassians are generally the whipping boys of Star Trek, I mean they had to take their frustrations out on a patently third-rate power like Bajor because everyone else can kick them around whenever they like.

Just because the Dom war showed them to suck ass doesn't mean their technologically inferior, also before the dom war started they appeared to be a real force to reckon with. You can have less powerful weapons yet have more advanced technology then other races.

play the game 'dominion wars' or 'bridge commander' and try to kill a hutet in a 1on1, then u know what a mad ship is

They may have unknown allies, too. Also, the Cardassians began their star empire years later than the Romulans, the Klingons, and even the Federation. The first Galors came into production around the early 24th century, so they may be backwards, but they do have great numbers.

Another suggestion for the Cardassians is that they should use the Hutet-class battleship. It's found in Dominion Wars, and it would be great for FO. Since Cardassians are not into large ships, I think that credits should be used to make such a ship on FO just like the Tavara and the Galaxy.

Yes, that'd be good too. They require a huge amount of crew to stay cannon.

Good idea. I just though that maybe the Hutet would also have two Hideki-class fighters coming from it as a special ability. When you see the introduction to Dominion Wars, a Hutet has two Hidekis coming off of it to attack the Defiant. That might be a great idea. Also, if the Cardassians would have an avatar, I would suggest one avatar to be the Obsidian Order. After the failed attempt to destroy the Founders, some Obsidian Order members were taken prisoner by the Dominion. They were later released when Cardassia joined the Dominion. Also, the Obsidian Order still existed during Dominion Wars and The Fallen. If such avatar was created, that avatar would allow increased research as well as a refit for the Keldon. The Obsidian Order refitted at least 15 Keldons for the attack on the Founders' homeworld, so that should come in handy dandy.

The Cardassians, as far as I know, will be NP race so no avatars for them
