come on guys we need ideas.

31. (one from gal civ) boosts you current research by 25%. (give you 25% more on the comletion bar).

I like most of the ideas already there... most notably space ameoabas as mentioned twice...  I can't really think of anything without going overboard.

32. Your Starbase blows up.
33. Your base is transferred to another random player.
34. Your most expensive Shipyard is scrapped, and you don't get resources back.

the starbase thing may be irritating, but i like the scaped ship yard.

35. drains all of you ships and stations special power

It's meant to be irritating. Just like back in the old Civ2 game, when I got a crate/hut in there I mostly got a large horde of Barbarians (very irritating!)

yeah but think of FO, that would cripple a player. Crates never did that in C&C, and games that did random events and such never did either. The idea is to make the game more fluid, a powerful player could be toppled but not destroyed, or what if a weaker player got the starbase destruction one... he is then out.

The idea was to make the game unprodictable, Not volitile

36. Ship vanishes without a trace (as happens often in Trek, real life & many other media).
37. Sensor range is doubled.
38. A craft identical to the Doomsday Device appears.

i would add the c&c classics
39. Ship gets another Torpedo-Tube or Disruptor or Phaser and so on (More Firepower)
40. Ship gets a 2nd Shield
41. Ship gets another Impulse Drive, making it faster
42. 1000 Units of a Single Resource
43. Teleports the Ship on another Place on the map (Wormhole etc)

Yeah! C&C rocks! Bonus crates or storage containers floating in space could definetly make FleetOps more interesting than it already is! (Without going overboard. LOL)

yeah thats what i like, its not hard to impliment, and not game destoying. It adds that mystery that start trek has always been about. :thumbsup:
