Not entirely; Optec said it will go in its current form, and that the Romulans will get something else shield regeneration related.

Though 'ability' was mentioned, so it could be a special or a passive.

30 Generix in a game that took more than 1h...I lost 15 of them mostly frigates...got upto 7 Spectres and 7 Frigates + up to 6 Supports...was the only chance since I faced Risner Fed and a Mijural Rom. Losing Miners is no shame for rom since they get the most crappy defense buildings...

You also had Alternate End as Mayson feds who spammed a million e2s and intrepids... All of my ships, and most of morts, were destroyed in seconds. We had no chance...

But this was after you almost took out our Klingon...I think the game was quite balanced...I agree the Excel2s were too much...

My B'rels came in as cannon fodder, the logic was that most of the firepower used to kill the B'rels would be wasted, while Alt's forces could target high defense Fed ships and waste little firepower.

Generix were only not as terrifying because many were on my side, also I had polaron field which is a great way to stop retreating/shield recharging Generix.

here's the balance

Generex, E2 spam

Laheavels, sabers, warpins, avalons, scubes, and sphere

Thats not true funny...our Fed had way more ships beside those E2s (also Warpins)...and as I said I used all Generix equally...the Klingons in the end had a mixed fleet afaik. So you better not provoke for no reason...I could also call scubes-only till mid-game spam...but I do not.

I think the balance tower is more like this funnystuff:

Support Generix

Warpin/E2 Spam/Spectre Spam
  Spheres (Dancing)
             Akira Spam
Polaron Field Qaw'Duj
              Vorcha/K'Vort
         Leahvals/K'BeajQAkira (non-spam)
------------------Perfect Balance line----------------------
    Sphere with allied fleetLone Sphere
                                     Adaptors
                                      Regen or Intercept Scubes
                                       Other Scubes
                                        Sabers
                                         B'rel
                                          Avalon

more than 3 from balance line indicates over or underpowered.

You can see why my team won.

Okay, I just had a 3v3 and I had to encounter a bunch of Support Gens. Don't worry, only three of them if I recall that correctly.
But still: They suck!  :sweatdrop:
I had about six to eight Intrepids and some other ships and I couldn't even kill one Support Gen.  :pinch:
So it's not only their shield recharge ability it's also their stats.
I'm glad things are about to change here

Well, Intrepids are the worst thing you can field against any kind of supports . Generix supporters are an easy counter to Intrepids due to ADAI.
I must say since the 3.1.3 Gen supporters don't fell that overpowered anymore, the short range of Shieldrecharge combined with their slow movement makes them extremely microintensive. However, the other Generix don`t need special micro at all, so you can easily concentrate on your supports  B).

supports arent micro intensive. leave them on full auto and they will use shield recharge on their own. generix never needs micro. just build them, then send them in the general direction of the enemy. then the enemy dies.

Well Myles you are wrong...the Frigate is no longer OP nor is the Support...the Spectre is if you go for them from the beginning on since they usually don't die early...
Btw the Frigate and Spectre specials are not micro sensitive...which is intended imo. And if you dont want to waste you Support's energy you better use its specials manually...which is a pain of course...
