In other words, you're abandoning even the most remote sense of realism in order to rip-off the I-Mod? Even the Krenim couldn't design weapons that bypass temporal shields, and they're masters of temporal tech.

I've always found remodulation to be a bit of a cop out when overdone.

Remodulation is the only way to defeat the Borg.  Besides, scan the torpedoes temporal variance and remodulate your shields temporal variance and you've adapted.  Chroniton fields, not to be confused with shields, have multiple temporal variances, so they are impossible to bypass.  Not as effective as an actual chroniton shield, but they can't be bypassed.

I know, that's why I specified 'if overdone'. Remodulating constantly is going into game/bad novel territory. Too much and you get the Temporal version of an I-Mod. How do you adapt to that on the fly?

Not in Star Trek... 'one shield fits all' here apparently, I swear they must have like 50 shields overlapping just for papercuts!

Just do what cubes do when they enter Transwarp.  They flood space in front of them with excited chronitons and tachyons to prevent stress damage to the cube.  Flood space with all those temporal particles and you'll most likely be able to interfere with temporal weapons as well.

So the Borg may well have the tech already to stop those torps, they just need to realize to apply it to a situation they previously haven't had to deal with.

I really hope you didn't mean that.  Maybe you meant analyze?  Analise (Analize) is something erm, a lot more painful (i presume!).

That's what the spell check said.

Analise sounds more painful and humiliating than what the Borg currently do... anyway, it's Portuguese for analysis; meaning taking something apart for study.

Or so the internet says.

The other option is just build a bigger damned phaser. If it's big enough, their sheilds cant hold it back.
Boom.

that or wait til Janeway has PMS, steal her coffee, slingshot into the past of an alternate reality, kidnap shatner, have The Shat flirt with Janeway.

Then tell Janeway theres a borg ship nearby.
Boom.
