it is reasonable, but its not canon. u said we should balance according to canon. but to stretch that little way out to give the akira quantums, u have left canon.

so how much can we depart from canon? this game is all reasonable considering canon. but obviously to be a fun and balanced game we have to ignore some parts of canon. and expand on others.

i think fleetops gets the balance right, not departing a huge distance from canon, but still giving a good game.

And the Klingons are seen only with BoPs, Vor'cha, and Negh'var. Sad day for the non-feddies.

You were mentioning canon - not personal opinion ^-^ . Not every Federation unit will get quantums - here's a useful FAQ :). At the end of this day, this game is based on the dev's interpretation of Star Trek, and does not just favor a single faction  ^-^

Don't forget the D-7 and the K'tinga!! They need canon love too!!

Ah, riiiiight forgot about that - though we didn't see the D7 in DS9, and we only saw the Vor'cha, K't'inga (outdated), and BoP in TNG.

Heh, well they were still using the K'tinga as a frontline ship in season 4 of DS9, and the BoP has probably been around for nearly as long, if not for as long.

Besides, if they're only gonna be allowed canon ships then they need all the classes they can get

*cough* ktinga*cough*

thats a brilliant ship u ignored  :crybaby:

also they had d7 and d5, and d5 cargo variant, and bop from enterprise, and raptor, and that bop variant in enterprise that the augments captured, and that funny klingon ship archer escaped from.

and some assorted shuttles, scoutships, transports and freighters not seen much.

EDIT: ninjad a lot. also the d7 appeared stupidly in voyager, they probably wanted the ktinga there instead, but the dialogue and model were was wrong.

EDIT2: the model was a ktinga, dialogue said d7

Well, there is an inaccuracy. The non-refit Talon Class is canon (even if it was only called Romulan scout ship).

there was also the romulan science ship, from TNG: the next phase. the scout ship (now called talon) model was a reuse of the science ship model, which was said to be roughly half the size of a galaxy class. i prefer ignoring the science ship and leaving the talon as the only use of the model.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the science ship and the scout ship looked identical other than size.  A nice and simple way to disturb, confuse, and fluster those who would dare oppose the Romulan Star Empire.  If they can't tell what the ship is actually for, they can't prepare themselves to face it.  Which is why the 4 different Generix and 3 different Rhienn and 2 different Talon make perfect sense.

if u can see an enemy talon it's probably a refit. Normal talons usually stay cloaked to scout.
