Basicly the hole argument comes down to: Trust.

Do you trust law informant and other government structures to protect you.

And there and people how dont fit in to this but over all the conversations that give us having weapons of war in family nabber hoods is: I can not trust you!

The more guns the more fear that person has.

if u dont then you have few options, we either go back to a time when governments didnt exist and lose the advantage of central planning allowing cooperation, stuff like roads and the internet would be difficult. or i guess you could get a boat and float out in international waters. then you also lose a lot of today's benefits such as tesco :P

if people didnt actually trust the government to not blow the country to bits, then we wouldnt elect governments to plan for us. we would go back thousands of years, where everyone is out for themselves. no builder would make a skyscraper as it would not help them directly.

Educations of involved parents included doctorate degrees, and fanatic ?

Simply because they disagree with certain aspects of what they are being told their child must know ?

Running with a weapon ? Yeah, if it's on safe or has nothing in the chamber preferbly.

Shooting into the air ? Unless hunting birds, or skeet shooting, that is just plain stupid.

Jerking off ?

Yeah....  shows how much factual basis your arugement has when you must resort to insults.

Sorry dude but you are one of those people that are lost for a modern society...anyone believing in such simple things as "more guns = less crime" shouldn't be able to vote since they lack the competences to understand complex systems...

Tok'ra and Drrrrr lets stop insulting even if you do not agree with the other point of view. We're close to a Godwin in this discussion so let's try to avoid that.

I agree with Tok'ra, it's silly that people shouldn't be able to have a gun.  The way I see it, it's either us or the government. :whistling:

I HAVE THE BEST ANSWER EVER TO GUN CONTROL AND GUN CRIMES!!!!  [glow=black,2,300]BOW AND ARROW CRIME!!![/glow]

Now we don't need a serial number or any sort of registration.  We can make our own weapons and ammo!!!  Also......SWORDS!!!

OMG!!  The ideas keep coming....someone stop me!  :borg:

I only read like a third of this thread, but I do remember myles saying something like "UK has gun control, less gun crime; therefore, gun control is good." (last part implied only.)
Correlation =/= causation. You should know this.
As for the whole "lock up people with guns, therefore criminals will be put away before they can shoot people" argument: I think the chances a criminal will be caught for having a gun are too small for this to be much of an affect.

@Tok'ra: didn't you mention a Nazi law earlier? Godwin!

LOL @ those on a high horse that know NOTHING.  This "modern society" is nothing short of a prison planet where 60-80% of us will be killed.  Our own ignorance is thier greatest weapon.  Now let me cite just a few sources so you can educate yourself.

Ecoscience:  John P. Holdren

1984:  George Orwell

Brave New World/BNW Revisited:  Aldous Huxley

Psychic Dictatorship in the USA:  Alex Constantine

The Republic and Other Dialogues:  Plato

NWO The Ancient Plan of Secret Societies:  William T. Still

Get off Your Knees:  David Icke

And that's not even the tip of the iceburg.  You have to be educated to have an educated opinion, can you understand that?  And before you even try college =/= education.  Being old =/= education.  Having a family/kids =/= education.
