thats be cuss the news meda had very lital elss to publish about clinton. clinton was doing well and pepal wher happy at how the contry was runing at the time. so a hedline that clinton had a scandal was a bomn shell that the meda could melk.

it duss not refeclt the severity of the scandal it refects the lack of storys that could grab readers.

I almost felt sorry for him. If he wasn't stupid enough to get into the situation in the first place, I might actually have felt genuine sympathy.

Anyway, have you ever worked (or known anyone who worked) in an intellegance service? Information isn't always completely reliable (hence the term "misinformation"), but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be acted on!
