And let me guess, a snow emergency was declared, so the dumbarse who parked his car there deserves to have it totaled. It's an arterial road - don't block the snowplows!

Legaly parked cars dude. They do this thing called parallel parking in NYC, as well as most big cities.

Those folks had every right to park there, and infact I'd wager that the signs prohibit parking there in the evening unless you live there.

Not to metnion, these city workers were total idiots, trashed multiple cards, and ignored people screaming at them to stop.

If they had not been idiots they could have gotten the front end loader out with minimal hassle.

It's not legal to park on an arterial road when a snow emergency is called, which I'd wager it was judging from the amount of snow and the uncleaned state (tis illegal to park until the roads are clear). Regardless whether people are parking there or not, it doesn't change the legal state  . Then of course there are city ordinances for parking next to city construction equipment  :whistling:

Um, how is it illegal to park infront of your residence in a clearly marked parking  spot ?

Or agree to disagree, no matter the legality of parking there (plus kinda hard to move if you're snowed in BEFORE the emergency is called), and agree that the city workers in the vid are complete idiots.

edit: and if I have offended city workers, good.  :innocent:

I saw this on CNN in today.  The update is the city is investigating it, last I heard.  But I have no doubt that the guys towing that plow will have a serious high-end lawsuit to deal with before the new year is here.

The only thing I didn't catch was if the city was responsible, or the towing truck that could very well be an independent business called in that clearly blotched the job, so to speak.

That wasnt a plow, it was a front end loader.

Many of the plows in NYC are in fact loaders  ^-^
