Alright those of you who don't live in North America...
Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Alright guys ... Americans and Brits alike ... Let's all just take a chill-pill
.
Navyguy ... you seemed to take the issue here and run several miles around a NASCAR track in the wrong direction
. You made the issue into something else and I think that riled up some of the Non-Americans.
Officer Myles ... don't be so damn touchy

Wow. This may be the most pointless argument in the history of mankind.

No, I'm quite sure there are far more pointless ones out there. On this very forum, even.

amen to that. just look around the forum for threads with more than 5 pages and you will certainly find some real time wasters.

I dont get this whole thread 1 bit but your post has encouraged me to post.
The British invented alsmost every sport there is in the world today... most anyway.
Football was invented by the british , it is played all around the world and forien people play in the english premier league, i have no clue about how cricket is played but that is a british sport and im sure there are forien people who play this too.
Tenis also a british game, now played by many around the world.... including americans.
Dont bother telling me that baseball wasnt made by the british or coming up with some dumb responce because i said most sports or perhaps ill just say many to prevent an arguement coming from that.
You have views that remind me of the nazis.

i dont think this should descend into a who invented the most sports argument as those are pointless. i mentioned sports britain made to point out that america competes in many competitions that arent american, so why cant non americans compete in american competitions?

My post was not about who invented the most sports, you either did not bother to read my post or you have completely misunderstood it.

nearly your whole post was about that. it doesnt matter who invented what sports, only that nationality shouldnt decide who can play a sport.

I think the point of that post was 'Americans play foreign sports, so why can't foreigners play American ones'? The American habit of liking those sports coming originally from Britain opposes the 'America for Americans' part as hypocrisy.
At least, that's how it seems to me.
