Wippien, better than Hamachi!

the chat room works in that way. u cant see ur post but others can. strange... but i cant seem to figure it out if it works differently

which is kinda quirky isn't it?

Yep. I reckon some of us should try and find some mics lying around and start using the voip service.

Dudes it's so easy to set it up.

1. Download Wippien
2. Go on http://register.jabber.org/
3. Create account
4. Use your jabber account in the login procedure in Wippien by typing in your full jabber account (for me it's BananaBender@jabber.org) with password. Use "existing account and leave everything else as is.
5. "Test account" --> klick  --> HURRAY!


I'm trying to set up a armada II fleet operations chat room. it's on conference.jabber.org channel. There are just people missing... and i can't open the chat room. I can with other rooms though.

Hamachi > this bag of dog poop in setting it up. Hamachi all I had to do was click 1 button - install and it did everything for me. This thing has took me best part of a hour to set up. Another thing I hate about it is that I have to add every single person who plays fleetops instead of them just appearing on a network in Hamachi. Seriously this thing better be godly at running fleetop games as so far im not impressed.

it took me like 3 min to set up. mainly cuz of my download speed. is it the program's fault that it took u longer ... go figure.

chatrooms r in beta now they dont work well in my experience. good thing is that u can use other im clients too (miranda for me).

...because otherwise you won't see any gateways for the chatrooms; Hooray for jabber being so decentralized;

it is possible to join chatrooms from other servers.

I cant connect to them, the program want to connect always (15 sec's periods) but can not

anyone any ideas ?

maybe router problem, or i must uninstall hamachi ? (i banned the hamachi network at the moment (in networks) )

Seriously, I joined, found a few people trying to resolve their own issues with Wippien (messages seemingly submitted mere moments before I joined), a presumably-empty member list, and Wippien cried at me.
