Wippien, better than Hamachi!

Here you can arrange online encounters and reminisce over past online battles.

No Dominus :) It's just that I found a "new" game which is awesome to play with friends online (They don't like FO unfortunately ;) )

BTT: The Client is awesome. I like it much better than hamachi. But further experiences are required. Till now I'm happy with it as it's working perfectly.

So its less user friendly. That doesn't mean it isn't still better.  If you can play faster, and with less bugs, that makes all the difference to me.

NOTE: I haven't even installed is yet. I'm still a bit skeptical, and I haven't had time to look into it, but I wouldn't say it is bad, just because it requires a little effort.  That is just being lazy. :whistling:

I don't he said the product was bad.

Just saying it was harder to set up than hamachi, which in most cases is very true.

Yes indeed it is harder to set up--but I think worth it in the end. So far I have experienced a little bit of lag in a 3v2 and a 3v3, but not even close to as much as I had experienced in Hamachi  :D

The reason you have to add everyone individually is for security reasons. In Hamachi, anyone could just get in the network and have access to everyone.  :sweatdrop:

It seems to be that to be able to get onto the fleetops chat room we need to all have ...@wippien.com accounts. I'm going to remake mine in to be the same. And I recommend everyone without a wippien.com account to do the same, would allow games to found much more easily.

...because otherwise you won't see any gateways for the chatrooms; Hooray for jabber being so decentralized;
