Wippien, better than Hamachi!

OK Listen up people! The Verdict is in. Although it is a bit more confusing to set up, Wippien is far FAR superior to Hamachi. Less lag (aka almost none) for starters.

Spread the word. This should help YouTube - How to Set Up Wippien VPN in XP

You can use a FREE gmail/jabber account to run this (available at mail.google.com). That is all. Everything is free. The Network size is unlimited, is safer then Hamachi, and most importantly, is so much faster and doesn't drop out on you.

Basic Instructions
1. Download and install Wippien
2. Run Wippien -> go to settings -> under identity:
check "I need new jabber account"
JID = [nickname]@wippien.com (this way you don't need the gmail/jabber account)
password = ******
resource = as is
server = wippien.com
port = 5222
uncheck "Use SSL ..."
3. Click test to see if it works.

One thing to note, doing the "route -f" does nothing FOR VISTA USERS (not sure about xp), so don't do it.

FIRST 3 player FFA conducted. ZERO LAG-with people who formerly had lag!

Please register new jabber accounts at wippien.com so we can have Fleet Operations chat rooms (google doesn't support them).

Actually, I'd say it's a bit easier to set up...besides, who doesn't have a gmail account?! And if not, why not? We're doing you a favor by making you get one!

Still, I installed Wippien and removed Hamachi. I'm ready to drop another million fighters on you, Mr. Lord of the Night (Dominus Noctis for those that don't know Latin). Even if I don't win.

Hmm, I am running windows 7 x64 and I'm having trouble getting it to work. I can find no way to get the adapter to show up in control panel. There are 64-bit drivers on the website but I have no idea how to install them - they are 3 files, none of which are exe's! Nor do I know what order to install things in, the 64-bit drivers first or Wippien first?

Unleash Mayhem, did you happen to check out the help forum on the site. I know that someone has had this issue at least once (actually, there seem to be an abundance of people with this issue last year  )... maybe this helps?:

What does 'VPN not established yet mean?'. I myself am shown as offline in Wippien.

Edit: Wrong,i can see myself as contact on the Wippien client offline, but my client is online. I just don't get it.

Ähm and i currently cant find the chatroom. It is scessible via the Vippien client, isn't it?

Thanks, I have already checked out their forums, but due to their low activity, it is hard to get a good answer out of them.
