lol so u advertise your server as a redundancy for the main server, but say that your's is less reliable. lol.

I think Chapman's point was that it was a good backup, but not the one we should use as a main TS server.  :thumbsup:

Clintsat is correct.  It's not to be used as the main server for fleet-ops.  My server is mostly for the TCRL (Team Chapman Racing League), and for discussions on the development of TCR projects.

i think u may have skipped over the bit where i said Redundancy (see definition 4), which is synonymous with "backup" in this context

the point of a redundancy is to protect the system from failure if the main component proves to be unreliable, which hints at the fact that the redundancy should be reliable, which tcr explicitly stated it isnt.

Stop backtracking Myles.  TCR kindly offers something to the community and you make some snarky comment.

  Be nice and don't look a gift horse in the mouth you ninny  :woot:

Hmm how about saying this myles:

Thank you tcr, for providing us with an alternative, so that if and when the fleetops ts server went down (as it did a few days ago) we can have a back up, so we can continue with talking to each other to enhance our online gaming experience.  Small outages will be no problem, thanks!

Just saying tcr is being generous so there's no need for scrutiny of it, when somone gives you a gift you accept it and say thanks, not ridicule it

Thanks tcr, much appreciated! :D

Unreasonable, ray. Snarky is so much easier.

And my thanks to you, TCR.

I asked u to define this in another thread, and u refused. Therefore u make it dlfficult to have an adult discussion.

How about no?

i dont mean to offend tcr, i noe he is doing something with only kind intentions, but even he admits his server is unreliable, from my experience too it is unreliabe. So what he is giving us wont be useful.

Common guys, let's keep it civil :) I'd hate to have to split this thread due to it becoming more and more about personal conversation than helpful information  :blush:

That's right he's trying to be nice, you don't like it don't use it, but stop complaining about it, you seem to he the only one that has a problem with it

Please Ray, that isn't constructive and just adds to this issue. There's no reason to have 'the last word'. :)

Hey guys, there have been some problems with the TS server we all know and love recently, I have made a backup server on my home server. If the server ever goes down, then simply in teamspeak go to

server = server.jeffrobe.com
port = 9987

password = (none) like there is no password
