Hello,

after we started our discussion about the yearly tournament, we decided to start one

Will be played on Duel 2 with version 3.2.6 with option for Blue skies if both players agree

I would like to participate in the competition. But I am available only on weekends (Fridays in the evening to Sundays in the afternoon). Which map(s) the competetions will be contested on? Are these included in the default installation of Fleet Operations or do I have to download any maps? It would be the first time I take part in this kind of competetion. But I am experienced in playing Fleet Operations multiplayer games. Of course I will read the competetion's rules.

Furthermore I'd like to get informed via e-mail when the competetion will start. My e-mail address is visible within profile informations.

I'm in, although I can't promise I won't act like a spoiled child when by computer lags and I lose a critical battle

I'd play but I'd want a new patch, Duel 2 is kinda abusable in the current play enviroment.

I agree with boggz, There are only a handful of borg players good enough to abuse it enough to matter. But in the yearly tournment I expect one or two to be there.

hmmmm perhaps we could ask boggs for a modified duel 2 map perhaps one that is a little less borg friendly ?

Before the blue nebula were in Borg had no chance whatsoever.  Borg absolutely MUST have a way to escape quickly because they cannot repair or build forward repair yards. 

  Frankly, it's very rare to see in most games the nebula being abused.  They are there to be used and are most useful for Borg.  They are the reason Borg even stand a chance on Duel II.  While I am aware the attack-retreat combo is a pain for people, keep in mind that's the only thing Romulans and Klingons do as well.  Nice thing is that you know exactly where the Borg are and where they will attack if you keep a scout on the nebula.
