Yah, I think the Intrepid has the only real station killing weapon, other than the steamrunners.

"Ammunition" doesn't have a ST feel... May i suggest a different description be considered?
(Besides, ammo for the Phasers and such are really power cells or coils or something like that, and the torpedoes are supposed to be harmless until they're armed?)
Other than that, i just can't wait to see hero ships in action!
Suggestions, opinions?

Well, when you enhance you two gold ships with an extra overall ship-upgrade, what is with the idea to make a two gold galaxy from warp in to the 'future Galaxy' class with the three warp pylons?
I dont know exact the statistics, but it would be cool if you can press the 'upgrade' key, the ships will go to the nearest shipyard and will get an overall system upgrade and will become something like the miranda 2 but capable against battleships. The romulan dreadnought got 5 weapons and maybe the galaxy-refit MK 2 will get something similar. This ship should maybe get a new armor and should look like Rikers Typ 2 Galaxy because it looked like 'old technology' when I look up to the souvereign. So maybe the Galaxy gets a new Uppersection with visible turrets and something like one auusault-phaser, two pulse phasers, and two quantum torpedos. This would be one weapon more than the Defiant class and may get to the Fed-Dreadnought? Or should the federation Dreadnought be something like the Prometheus?

@Jarod: Ammonition is of alsost no concern in FO, this is true, but still there is amminition for the torpedo launchers - torepdos. My my persoal problem with that feature is, that it is fairly motiveless IMO and not really belonging to dominion style. The dominion is only seen to disable shields, and the dominion strategies in FO do not rely on dieabling weapons, instead or roms and feds. Thus such a feature would just flatten the differences. I think there has to be aspecially taken care that the balancing issues do not result in flattening the races face. Further the ammonition loaderer is one of the ew mechanical systems of the ship, and thus the must unlikly to fail. It is much easier to disrupt the EPS by an electromagnetic pulse, as well as the impulse engines for example.
My alternative, if that feature is reeeeaaaalllly needed (which it is not IMO), then it should be a shield breaking tetrion-beam that is focused on weapon system and deals direct damage to weapon systems only.

I don't know if this has been suggested before:
Wouldn't it be great, if the hero ships would improve/upgrade random systems, not always the same improvements for a ship class... I mean, if you upgrade the same ship class, you would get for example improved shields, weapons and a special ability #1, next time you would get a different set of improvements...
Am i making any sense here?

Not bad effort, but I really like to keep the veterans as they are--too much emphasis will turn this game into a more "warcraft III"-like-game, which really isn't the goal for FO I believe. Having so many hero ships takes away from the emphasis of fleet building (even now, I get scared by how powerful some of the Veterans are

Wow i like those abilities. It with some tweaking (like Battle mode should either have a timer or reduce ship speed or something, and a few of the power boosting ones are a tad bit overboard) it would be nice to see most or all of those abilities ingame.

What about the abilities of the Dominion ships? I tried to invent something that would be new. I mean, invulnerability? That is something I've never seen before...
