Is there anything I could do against random crashes? Happens quite more often since 3.1.2.
I also watched an old bug returning: Ships don't turn to fire in best position. F.E. the Defiant refuses to fire at all, if an enemy sneaks up from behind.
Also I'd love to have a better "following" routine: If a ship attacks another one and the other one flies away. the other one waits toll following, until other one got out of the weapon range. Hope I got that correct, but I am sure, you got me :)

can you describe the random crashes? do they give error reports, if so definitely send them or email them to the devs.

and the ships not turning thing is annoying, doubt it will be fixed soon though. just manually order them i guess.

but this issue was reported some versions ago and was fixed, some releases ago, or am I wrong?

Indeed, Excel II's only firing phasers after an attack order is annoying.

If you build an ExII in shared tech yard with roms, the bouncing torpedo - or however it's called - doesn't work either. I tried it many times, against other fleets, against other structures or both: The Torpedo hits the first thing, does nearly no damage and vanishes.

The Vector Torpedo works perfectly for me, hitting all 3 targets.

I think you can fix it by turning movement ai to maximum. Maybe it is directly related to the issues with movement autonomy.

Ships, I've never tried it against stations. If it works against one though, the other shouldn't be a problem.

I can't take movement AI to max, I'd go crazy if so. And PLEEEEEEESE mods, make repair ships less fight-horny. They get killed immediate with movement AI on max, because they love fighting more than giving allies a helping hand :(

I can concur. On both mixed-tech and normal it works perfectly fine for me against ships and stations. :)

Repair vessels go into the fight because they are armed - set them on green alert if you don't want them to defend your allies :D
