Mod In Progress: Concept Armada 3

right thank you to all the new features of FleetOps and the fairly big success I've had at reimplementing the stock A2 features (warp, planets etc) I have decided to make a concept mod for what a3 may have been like if the FO features were used by activision/maddoc)

first of the races:
- Federation
- Klingon
- Romulan
- Borg
- Cardassian
- Species 8472 (now going be known as Sra'Xa'Diin)
- Dominion
- ??? (tba)

this mod will replace the stock models (most if not all) if higher quality meshes but still at a fairly low poly count.

It will also try and get many of the cannon ships that are in service during late TNG, DS9, Nemesis and post Nemesis

OK well as every mod has to start somewhere I have decided to start with getting the much forgotten Sra'Xa'Diin (8472 for those who have not been keeping up :P) up to date.

The first thing I would like to show is there Avatar (this is a video not picture)

Of course the Noxter are here for now but if I am not allowed to use them then they will be removed.

Looks interesting... will the Galaxy be buildable? (say yes...)

Is that last race not decided?

I loved how Species 8472 started the game by entering via a Fluidic Gate.

Buildable Galaxy, there's a good sign.

If you need a good race, what about a parody one? I love pitting the P-Fleet (Star Wreck) against the Borg in stock A2.

Where did you get the name Sra'Xa'Diin from; a novel or made up on the spot?

a modder called chiletrek sent me a link to
Star Trek: The Final Frontier - The Sra'xa'diin (Species 8472)

which is the only name for 8472 that aint a borg destination so we decided to use it for our relevant mods (after getting permission to use it)

Aghh... another taken concept of mine. I was going to have:

- Federation
- Klingon
- Romulan
- Cardassian
- Dominion (I'm doing changes in the later game construct)
- Breen (I'm going to have to chnge some things up a bit)
- Ferengi (there is gonna be a whole lot of edits)
- Borg (Going to include a large variety of borg ships, each able to refit systems thanks to the replace weapon)
- Vulcans
- The Alliance (A construction of various minor races, this would cost a lot of creativity)

I try taking 8472 out because I never really liked that race. So far I got the Feds through Borg active as races, the Vulcans are to be inserted, and the Alliance is still on the drawing board for now.


Why are all my concepts taken? Its like as if I work to slow to ever keep a title! :pinch:

I think he has some other idea in mind. I basically am going to take in as many ships as possible and then basically rearrange all the race's techtrees, plus making certain ships fit certain roles. Though I'm sure that he does not plan on having any place for my Resource reconfiguration.

i did start an a3 mod not long after the pp2.5 came out for a2 but the team collapsed (other mods came along CanadianBorg went to Sigma and I went to Earth Conflict) but decided to restart it now the latest fo is out

So... should I try to see if Armada 3.5 is taken? Or should I just label it:

Star Trek Armada 2.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999.... (Because someone already took 3!) :lol:
