Armada II: Evolution - comes to FleetOps!

Yes, the STO path gave me few ideas, but the Titan-books also influenced me.
Playable arces:
Federation, Klingon, Cardassian, Romulan, Gorn for sure. But with later releases you'll get the Dominion to play the Dominion War, an incredibly powerful Borg (you'll really need a full fleet to beat a cube), several map races etc.
The Vulcans and the Andorians won't have buildable ships, but there will be an UE special weapon which can call in allies (the same way the Fed Warpin works) and so you can get their ships.

Yeah!!! This is great, i want to see this great work, i'm waiting.

Andorian Kumari is so beautiful. I can't wait to see this ship in action!!!!!
Other doubt, The NX Class won't have shield.

NX would probably be able to get shields from the Adnorians, they tend to be more helpful than the Vulcans.

One good idea is include the Xindi incident.
There should be a mission that you must destroy the Xindi Superweapon Prototipe like that episode when the Superweapon Prototipe rips the Earth's surface.

As I promised, here are some screenshots about the Feds and the Romulans. I hope you won't be disappointed
And because I don't know how to make spoilers, I'll have to comment the attachments separated.
1. That's why we call it "Evolution"
2. The Lost Era always lacked a proper fleet
3. Variations on the same theme
4. Federation destroyers form the Pre-TOS era
5. A Romulan fleet from the TOS era
6. Not only the Feds can make nice refits
7. Constitution in danger
8. Here they come!
9. Klingons in new cloacks
10. The D'Voridex Class and the D'Deridex Class Refit

I like those Excelsiors, they look like the proper ship. Is the lightmap as floodlight-heavy as default?

Looks really nice, but why are those Romulans firing out of their bussard collectors/nacelles?

This isn't a VB forum thats why.

It depends on what do you call "floodlight-heavy"

Very good question! According to my researches first the Romulan ships were equipped only with devastating plasma torpedoes. They did not need anything else, because with their cloaking device they could sneak behind the enemy and fire their torpedoes. They didn't need any other weapons.
During the war with the Federation they had to improve their weaponry by the well-known plasma cannons. When the Romulans stole the warp propulsion technology from the Federation (Their technology reached its limits by then while the Cochranian warp theory has much potential left, that's the reason of the very similar warp narcelles in the TOS era) they integrated the plasma weapons into the narcelles, so they could build a simpler power conduit system. It's very similar to the Federation system actually. The only difference is that Starfleet built additional sensors and radios into the head of the narcelles (see the small antennae on the earlier starships).
If you look at the pictures closely, you can see the small green glowing parts at the heads. Later, the Romulans left this theory and the refitted Warbird already has its plasma cannons integrated into the wings.

Motion picture Enterprise and P81 Excelsior default; many lights shining all over the hull. A beautiful sight sorely lacking in FO.

The few minutes outside the space dock is my favourite part of that film, just for the music and visuals.

Can we expect to see quantum phasers in your mod?

Props on the research, K_Merse.
Question on the Excelsiors and other multi-era ships: how will the upgrade/refit process work?

I tried to put back every lights properly. At least the name and registry numbers will be highlighted on every ship.
Refitting will be totally automated. Once you advance to a new era, your ships and stations will be refitted to their newer version with stronger hull and shields, modern weaponry, in some cases even new special weapons. The stations gain new construction options of the newest starship classes. This means that every player will advance into a new era exactly the same time.
This is a compromise we had to accept to make the mod more user-friendly and more playable. The primary goal is to make a balanced mod which is also useable for multiplayer games and so we had to prevent players to win simply by advancing from any era to another as fast as possible.
